Wow, ok, not my taste really, kind of the antithesis of my taste but I can appreciate the skill needed to play it. Video did look a bit like a parody perhaps, maybe could have been on a sketch show or something?

A personal favourite of mine with a lovely little Scottish video. I like the bit where he gets the Mars Bar, burger and Irn Bru as he's running. :teehee:

damn man, those are some short-shorts when he is running at the end haha :mmm:
the song is alright I suppose... to be honest I prefer music that makes me want to get up and move about a bit/sing or scream along rather than stuff that is a bit nonchalant and neutral, if you get what I mean. I like to have a strong reaction to a song!
thanks for not slating my beloved coheed and cambria anyway lol.

burn baby burnn! its such a good song haha.

ooh I quite like chase & status a guilty pleasure among others of mine... even though I am a metal/rock girl at heart, I do enjoy dancing around to that kind of stuff too, like enter shikari and pendulum. saw them at Reading festival and they were epic.

my suggestion -

Good song. I love the beginning when it's quiet then speeds up really well. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when i got into more rocky music, i think Learn to Fly (or was it All My Life? ) was one of the first songs i'd heard by them.

Your first line reminded me of:

The song was originally gonna be called "this is slow suicide" but the radio refused to play it :fyi:

And don't limit yourself to one genre, that's boring! If you write off a whole genre because you've experienced only a few songs which you don't like then you've not properly experienced it.

Hello
If you type . Replace xxxxx with the video code (the bit after "watch?v=" in the URL)

So http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW8mEMqiNhc =

Didn't like that one so much, but well, you know what kind of music I listen to! As for 'The Pretender' above yours, funnily enough, it's the ending to that song I love!

Anyhow, this song ended up as one of my top played songs of 2009. It's on the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, but wasn't written for that movie. It's been used in others such as Don, where this comes from.

whoo, a fan of the foo. yeah all my life and learn to fly are both really good songs, as is everlong. listen to it

wahey, ash! I haven't listened to this song in ages, love it lol.
yeah I don't mean to limit myself to one genre but metal/rock just grabs me a bit more than all the other types to be honest.

Heh. well Opeth are obviously the best band ever, but I figured that Bleak is a song that more people will have heard so decided to change it to Threshold, a completely underground band that more people need to hear...

Have you heard any Threshold at all? cos they're really not **** :P

Aanyway. 5-finger death punch are awesome.

How about this:

Probably the most beautiful 30mins of music ever written.

aww, don't deprive the people of tsr opeth haha
meh, my friend sent me a youtube link to them on youtube a month or so ago, but I wasn't mega impressed to be fair.
what bands you listen to/like most then?

EDIT - haha stop adding more to your post you bugger :p: I have to keep editing lol!
ugh I can't stand classical music much anymore, I studied music for A-Level and had Bach and Mozart and Faure rammed down my throat four lessons a week. the only composer I truly love is Hans Zimmer, the best film composer around. has made so many brilliant soundtracks.

Haha, don't get me started on bands I listen to... basically, if it's any form of progressive rock or metal I probably love it :P. Opeth, Neal Morse, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Symphony X, Threshold, Pink Floyd, etc to name just a few off the top of my head.

Also love basically all metal, apart from a select few genres- such a grindcore, and brutal death metal with death growls so deep you can't even hear them. *cough* cannibalcorpse *cough*

Heh. What bands do you like?

And classical music- there's classical music, then there's Mahler. It's in a completely different league, and IMO the Opeth of all classical music.

Otherwise I tend to agree- Mozart is the most overrated composer ever. barely a genius and added very little to the genre. plus his music is fúcking boring.

By the way, if you have Spotify, you should give this Threshold album a listen
