Haha, don't get me started on bands I listen to... basically, if it's any form of progressive rock or metal I probably love it :P. Opeth, Neal Morse, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Symphony X, Threshold, Pink Floyd, etc to name just a few off the top of my head.

Also love basically all metal, apart from a select few genres- such a grindcore, and brutal death metal with death growls so deep you can't even hear them. *cough* cannibalcorpse *cough*

Heh. What bands do you like?

And classical music- there's classical music, then there's Mahler. It's in a completely different league, and IMO the Opeth of all classical music.

Otherwise I tend to agree- Mozart is the most overrated composer ever. barely a genius and added very little to the genre. plus his music is fúcking boring.

By the way, if you have Spotify, you should give this Threshold album a listen

I very much doubt I am going lower myself to rate music forwarded by someone who believes Mozart is overrated

to be honest, that is just his opinion. why should he have to be disregarded simply because he doesn't like Mozart?
I can also say that I dislike his composing, and I am allowed to say that without looking like some ignorant prat, as I actually had to study him in-depth haha

Well, half his stuff was just directly inspired by JS Bach. Beethoven was truly the composer that strayed away from Baroque musical tendencies- not Mozart, as is commonly assumed and therefore given false credit.

And yes, Mozart's music does get boring- which is something that cannot be said about Bach.

ahh you're more into the alternative kinda rock/metal if you get what I mean, not as mainstream as me. I like papa roach, disturbed, opeth, perfect circle, slipknot, bfmv, atreyu, coheed and cambria, rise against, five finger death punch, avenged sevenfold, devildriver, pantera, trivium etc

haha yeah cannibalcorpse are mental... they actually terrify the **** out of me lol, and they have such lovely song names like 'stripped, raped and strangled' and 'frantic disembowelment'. such beautiful lyrics, not napalm death are also equally shocking.

whoo yeah I am on Spotify 24/7, I could not live without it I'll take a look at Threshold, you obviously are a big fan lol.

barely a genius and most overrated composer were the reasons for which I disregard him, not whether or likes Mozart or not

That was interesting. For some reason it really reminded me of the 90's.

Love it, even if it has been used to near death by a certain American drama series  I can't listen to it without picturing Gary Sinise...

    One of my favourite songs:

:yy: Although I've been posting some soft music, I can handle some metal too!

If that's one your favourite song, you should love this:

That makes me think it'd be one of the harder levels on guitar hero. It's the kind of song you need Jägermeister and Ibuprofen to listen to.

How about a folk guitar based Fall Out Boy cover.

For the audience only here's Goat with "Sugar We're Going Down".
