Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
Discussion for A-Level students and for those choosing their A-Level subjects.

Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
Hardest - Easiest
1. Art
2. English Lit
3.Physics
The sheer amount of work for Art rather than any difficult concepts made it ridiculous to keep up with, ended up eating into time I should have spent on my other subjects. Should have dropped it and carried on with maths

Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficultyStill the same for you after exams? I'm doing the exact same subjects and I would order them like that (sorry for super old quote!)(Original post by milkytea)
For me, right now:
Maths
History
English Lit
Politics
But I've only been studying them for a few months. I also struggled with Maths at the start because I did no Maths for the whole of Year 11, so it's taking a little while to get back into the swing of it. -
Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
1. Philosophy (so hard to get exam technique just right and annoying as exam is either too easy or too hard)
2. Biology (enjoyable, but lots of content)
3. English Lit (find it quite boring to be honest, exam is either too easy or too hard)
4. Chemistry (find practicals harder than theory; theory is very logical, nice and understandable concepts)
5. Maths (very logical, totally my thing; just requires a lot of work.)

Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficultyYeah, I'd say the same now. Maths definitely proved the hardest subject for me by a very long way! I suppose it depends on the exam boards you're on up to a point - English Lit was OK for me partly because a lot (40%) of the overall grade is based on coursework.(Original post by WilliamG)

Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
1. Product Design (don't get me started on this!)
2. ICT (this was mainly due to the WJEC exam board.)
3. Business Studies (as my 6th form used the Edexcel exam board, the first 2 exams had multiple choice questions which made them relatively easy. However it got harder towards Unit 4 as it all depended on which questions came up on the day...)
4. Sociology (the hardest part of Sociology was probably remembering the Sociologists!)Last edited by ASKendrew; 12-07-2012 at 04:08. -
Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficultynope stopped at AS Level.(Original post by blue-orangutan)
Ah a while back then ;} did you go on to do music in higher education or anything?! -
Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
1-Physics (bad teacher so mostly have to self teach....)
2-Chemistry (Pretty easy due to a really good teacher, but still academically rigorous)
3-Maths
(all A2, dropped AS biology as I got a B in it, 1 mark off an A, easy enough but i struggled with so much content as im bad with lots of information) -
Re: Rank your A-levels in order of difficulty
1. English Lit - Big jump from GCSE and very subjective
2. Music - I'm great at performing but struggle a lot with the theory side
3. Law - Lots of case law to learn but it's great fun!
4. Accounting - Took to it really well and found it fairly easy to learn
