Re: Who is starting MMU in sep 2011?!?!That's just from my personal experience, I was living in Cambridge Halls which along with Cavendish Halls were practically on All Saints Campus (I could see All Saints Library building from my window). I guess it depends where they're timing from, but the accommodation I was in wasn't any closer than 20 mins. There's bound to be further opportunities to visit MMU before decisions are made (MMU usually hold further open days for applicants), so you could always time it yourself before having to make a decision (:(Original post by +epic)
20-30 mins?? wow the website says its like a 10 min walk and 5 min bus ride haha.
Guess im going to apply for the ones at Aytuon! -
Re: Who is starting MMU in sep 2011?!?!
Yeah, the open day is on the 26th which I am hopefully going to
so will walk it all out then!
Where do you live now? in the city centre? How much do you pay for rent and bills each week?
In bristol it was pretty expensive and I was paying about £250 a week for accomm, bills and food and living etc. -
Re: Who is starting MMU in sep 2011?!?!I'm not actually at MMU at the moment, I left at the end of my first year. With any luck I'll be back in September for a different course. However when I was looking at potential accommodation for the rest of my degree before leaving, city centre accommodation was far too expensive for me. A lot of students from MMU move into accommodation in Fallowfields, which is a fair bit further away from the city centre. It took me 45 minutes to walk from my halls to my old flatmate's house, where I would have been living. They pay roughly £70 a week for rent if I remember correctly, which is slightly under average for Fallowfields from what I've gathered. However I don't know how much extra they're paying in terms of utility bills and things.(Original post by +epic)

Also, could you send me a link to the info on this open day? I'd love an excuse to get a day off work and visit my old flat mates =PLast edited by Gofre; 17-01-2011 at 23:33. -
