Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIII feel the exact same way about going home haha(Original post by Doughnuts!!)
Hmm...considering that if I get an offer, it'll be for Law and there won't be many internships for first years, what would you recommend I do to avoid going home early?
Have a look at expeditions run by BUNAC and Raleigh International- working on summer camp in the US pays for itself but you might need to do some fundraising for Raleigh as it's a charity thing. These usually take up the entire summer
Even irrelevant internships are fun and slightly useful by the way! -
Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIIClare - I know people have been saying that they're late to reply, but interviews are in about 2 weeks! Which college did you apply to?(Original post by coupdefoudre)

Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKII
Ok... so I see one Kings Classics student, that's ok, that's another subject, that's Classics.
Oh... a history student. It's ok they're an international student, that's fine. I don't need to worry about no interview offer today despite it not arriving today, and interviews being in 2 weeks time.
At all. Nope. I'm fine lolLast edited by comrade_jon; 22-11-2010 at 15:15. -
Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIII know what you mean! I was so hoping for a letter today when I got home, but nothing(Original post by comrade_jon)

Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIIThe most annoying thing is that my school won't prep me for interview or anything without the offer...(Original post by hello dave)

Another day and nothing for me
When should I contact them if nothing comes?
Only on it once now (:(Original post by misostars)

More essay evading time on TSR
P.S I'm on both lists twice :/ just to let you know....
Good luck everyonnne, and also what are the women in this thread thinking of wearing to interview..
I was thinking: Pencil skirt, stripy top and a green blazer, if I get an interview. Something that's smart but actually looks nice. -

I really want to go on one if I end up on a gap year, but I'd have to work for about 6 months

My sister wore a trouser suit with a thin jumper under it last year - it was freezing. I am thinking of something similar but suits sort of swamp me. -
Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIII emailed the admissions dept. today (yep I really got that paranoid that they'd just totally forgotten me), and they said I have an interview on the 6th(Original post by Lulope)

Re: The Official Cambridge Applicants' 2011 Entry Thread MKIIWow, I would not like to be you, now. It won't probably matter (have you heard yet back from them?), but it might. Good luck.(Original post by Ollie901)
Just realised I mispelled Stephen Hawking on my personal statement. Put a 'v' in rather then the 'ph'.
Quite concerned now.

I have an interview so it can't have had too much of an impact. I just checked my SAQ as well, I spelt it correctly in there. -
