Anybody with an interview on the 6th/staying in Cambridge on the 6th hit me up! I'm baking some cupcakes for a few friends that are Law students and I wouldn't mind sharing with you guys.

Is anyone else applying at Churchill? Do you know if they've started handing out interview dates yet?
A friend of mine got an interview quite a while ago, although he might've gotten it that early because his is on the first already? He's a non-UK applicant, maybe that makes a difference as well.

Tough break What was it for, if you don't mind me asking?
Law. I knew it was a rejection letter before I opened it because it was just a sad little envelope. It was a long shot, anyway Good luck with your application

Another day's post comes and goes and still no news from Downing ): Not going to hear until Monday at the earliest now. The suspense is killing me!

Hey! Sorry I was watching Harry Potter, so I wasn't on
Quote my first post in the MKI thread to get all the info and best of luck
Ooh I went to see it last night! Did you enjoy it? I was actually a bit disappointed. There were bits that didn't live up to my expectations (Malfoy Manor, the burrow bits) but then bits I loved (The deathly hallows story, Hermione/Harry/Ron relationship) so I'm not sure.

Saaaame. Just saw it. Disappointed. The last one was better I think. This was slightly more faithful to the book but it dragged out the travelling scenes a bit much. They didn't do the Ministry bit or the chase bit at the start justice. The way the Ministry bit was planned out and executed was awesome but it didn't really come through in the film. And no Lupin hissy fit Actually I'm not sure they did anything justice. The next one had better be good because watching that was kind of depressing.

Can't you stick around a few days afterwards?
    Please?

I'm going on my own. I'm flying to London Stansted from Amsterdam and from there I'll get to Cambridge by bus
The train is a lot faster (takes ~ 30 minutes) and afaik cheaper.

I think I like the last film better but this one did have good bits in it.

I thought that about the ministry bit. And the bit before it in the book, with Kreacher. I like how it showed a different side to him but in the film you don't get any of that.

I wish there had been more of loads of characters. Lupin was hardly in it at all ): Some of the minor characters were great though. The guy who was chasing them in the ministry (Yaxely maybe? Can't totally remember) was amazing. I don't know what it was about him but I thought he was scarier than any of them. IMO better than Bellatrix.

Along with Medicine and Vet and Economics there really is no shame at all in being rejected for law, a course that even if I was interested in would never get to interview stage either

Good luck with the rest of your application, all I know is that you'll be earning a lot more than I will haha!

Edit: This is also a request for a lot less Harry Potter discussion please.

True. If you buy a return ticket online, the train will run you less than the bus (and it is faster)

Yeah the only two on the list are Law and geography I think so hopefully they've not got on to us science people yet.

Yeah they kind of focused on some randomly irrelevant characters a bit much. And I just realised what I missed the most was the theme music None of that in the film. I just hope that they don't ruin Fred's death.

So, what's everyone doing to prepare for their interviews? I myself have done nothing so far. I was planning on discussing random articles to random strangers and on revising AS stuff as well as reading a heap of books but I cba for some reason.
