Every time I look back at it, I seem to get another flash of inspiration. I'm quite proud of getting some of the less obvious ones, like Aquaman but I can't help but feel that I'm missing out some really blatant ones.

I did pretty well then. Some of them I really, really should have got. How could I get Dove and not Hawk?

Some of them are just retarded, though. Mandrake? It's ****ing top hat, there are plenty of other heroes with top hats, notably ZATANNA, which is the one we all put. Probably because she's ****ing hot, and nobody knows who the **** Mandrake is until they look him up on Wikipedia.

The only Zatanna I've read is the awesomeness that is Identity Crisis.

The current Zatanna series is pretty good. It's not as epic as some of the other stuff, like Green Lantern or Batman, but it's quite fun. The storylines are pretty short; there have been seven issues and already three stories - in fact, #7 was a complete story arc in itself. I guess this means it's pretty easy to pick up in the middle, although when I started at #3, I made a point of ordering in #1 and #2 so I could have them all.

I'm fairly new to the scene, so I decide what to get each week by going on the DC website and checking out the weekly releases. Then, if there's something which has been going on for a while that I haven't got, I order the trades on Amazon, or get the back issues from my comic store. It's a good system. It's an expensive system

Or, sometimes I just get new things when I see them in the store. The other day I went in to get my standing order, which would have cost about £6. Ended up spending about £46

I have just received an order of Batman stuff, as part of my caped crusade to read everything Dark Knightly since the Crisis. Added to that, I've just been to the comic store to get my weekly order, which included Batman: Odyssey, Detective Comics and Batwoman.

I'm using this site as my reading list. It stops at about 2007, but that covers twenty years of Batman, so it's more than a start.
