Condemn? Ireland would like to ask Fiji for clarification on how they would percieve a country to be condeming a possible panedemic.

Ireland would also like to remind Fiji that it is well out of harms way of any migratory bird's flightpath.

Ireland is adeguately prepared for an epidemic of any type of flu with an advanced emergancy action plan in place which has been updated after recent discoveries about the strain of Avian Flu. At present stock of Tamiflu are being distibuted to local centres in case they are to become needed.

The good news for those countries in the North of Europe is that the outbreaks in Greece and Macedonia are grouped in the southern flight route which temrinates there, there are no signs of avian flu advancing along the northern migratory route to the Baltic area.
There is no sign of the Avian flu coming in the direction of Saudi Arabia, so we do not consider it to be a top priority for the nation. Of course, we are prepared to combat this illness if the disease spreads into Saudi Arabia.

Bosnia and Herzegovina considers itself prepared for any outbreak, which may be likely as there has been an outbreakin neighboring FYROM (Macedonia).

Israel is unlikely to escape the Avian Flu as it has already been found nearby in Greece. Israel is prepared for a possible outbreak.
DPRK blames the spread of Avian flu on the puppet governments of South Korea and Singapore, who support the imperialist American pigs.

(and it won't affect us because we don't let anyone in or out)

Not even the birds?

Actually arent the number of tourists frequenting North Korea increasing? Due to a state controled tour of the major landmarks of the counrty's rich heritage. This may lead to even your nation becoming susceptible to the panedemic of trasmittable human to human diseases.

Switzerland, being the only country producing Tamiflu, an avian flu symptom mitigator, feels well prepared for the unlikely outbreak of the avian flu. It is currently increasing production to meet bulk orders from other countries.

The Ukraine regrets to inform Switzerland that Tamiflu is not a cure nor considered a very effective preventative measure. We urge countries to consider their biosecurity measures. We cannot rely on Tamiflu, we need to make sure all countries are able to track and trace imported and exported birds and keep good epidemiological records. Biosecurity must be a high prioritory for all countries to prevent a pandemic.

Switzerland is aware of the fact that Tamiflu is not a remedy for Avian flu. But it is a syptom migitator. Research will continue on finding a cure for avian flu in Switzerland, especially as a new strain of the flu seems resistant to the antiviral drug. Switzerland has boosted its biosecurity program, recently, at the beginning of 2005.

The Ukraine understands that it is only a symptom migrator and thus cannot see reasoning for it's use as it is not an effective or sure fire way to protect it's people. However the Ukraine approves of the boosted biosecurity program but insists that further steps need to be taken by all member countries to ensure the spread of avian flu is contained. It is, and the Ukraine believe this fully the solution. Once something has been securely contained we can find a 'cure'. Prevention is of course, better than cure, noting that Switzerland does indeed hope to produce the 'cure' or the potential vaccine, we would hope that it would not condone the simple measures to be enforced first and foremost.

The Ukraine would like to suggest that hereby all member states should have biosecurity measures in place and these are to be reguated by a body set up and controlled by the UN if voting agrees that we should take action in this way.
