Veggie patty from Mcdonalds - Apparently they can come in contact with the oils for the meat products in preparation.

Anyway that's what the websites say.

Whereabouts does it say that on the website?
I'm not vegetarian, but my friend is and she eats a lot of those, I should probably make her aware

Chemical Bex, just for you, straight from the McDonalds forums:

    http://www.demandanswers.co.uk/quest...1385#question4

Here's an article on shropshire live about it too, which gives a good summary:

    http://www.shropshirelive.com/2010/1...on-vegetarian/

Basically, the ingredients of the patty itself are veggie, but the means in which it's fried means it can potentially be fried in animal fat.

    Hence it's not vegetarian.

Tuna steak marinaded in lime juice, dark soy, rice wine and balsamic vinegar, pan fried
    Roasted tomato and rocket salad
    Boiled new potatoes

Was well yummy - fish marinaded for about 8 hours, which I know is a faux pas when you're using an acidic marinade, but turned out lovely! Slightly overcooked the fish though, was more a medium-well done than a rare.

I've started experimenting with food and then putting some pictures of the results in this thread. It's quite fun so I think I'll continue!
