failing first term

having dropped out last year, and pretty sure i was going to drop out this year (though my parents are forcing me to stay), i need 40 % to pass but missed two assignments. Assuming i do well in the next 2 terms, or change course (is it possible to change course in second term), first of all. Is it possible to pass this year? and if not, having already dropped out, would I be able to retake the year or a module etc? what wud student finance say?

It would depend on how it works at your university.

If you need a pass in all assessments in a module: Some won't allow you to retake or resubmit assessments without making a first attempt, so you may find you've already failed the year. Some will allow you to take a (probably) capped resit or resubmission, so you can hand those missed assignments in at a later date, getting a maximum of 40%.

If you just need 40% on the overall module: Again, it may require you to attempt all elements, or you could make up for it on future assignments.
