It’s very common and nothing to worry about. The only weird thing is that he told you, I think he probably feels guilty for doing it and needed to confess (which I think is pretty selfish).

Of course people think about others, do you ever imagine yourself with another guy? Fantasies are just fantasies and as long as he isn't inappropriate with it or with them, I can't see a problem.
