Lord of War

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Very good film. Doesn't take sides and gives a (somewhat) objective view of arms trading. I was very glad that it didn't end in the usual cliche way you would expect. Only complaint is that it was probably 30~ minutes too long. I noticed some people in the cinema fidgeting a little.

Actually I expected it to be total crap, and to my amazement, it wasn't half bad.

Was ok, but lost some momentum once he got into all that Libya business. Got a wee bit boring.

Excellent film! Highlights the fact to the general public, the average person, how dirty western governments/5 permanent members of the UN security council are. Worse than dictators post-WW2. How guns form the west have ravaged Africa to breaking point. Then again its only a film!

It makes you think doesn't it.. raises many moral questions..

One thing I didn't understand, why when he got high on that gunpowder mixture did the son of the king/president and the other guy start having a go at him and beating him up?

It wasn't the presidents son, just some thugs.
