grapefruit juice and oral contraceptive pill

Hi guys,

I didnt know that grapefruit juice inhibits oestrogen. Over the last few days I have drank 0.75L of grapefruit juice diluted with a little bit of orange juice. Also taken my pill every morning.
How likely is it that my pill has stopped working?

BNF says that it shouldn't be a problem (or at least, doesn't list it as a significant interaction), so you're probably ok. If you're concerned, just use condoms for 7 days.
omg i never knew that lol ha .... good luck with it

i would drink 5 litres of that a day if i had the grapefruit juice ... i go through 2 cranberry ones in a day easily :smile:
