I would LOVE it if Peyton sticks it to your scumbag of a coach.
He'd have to do it five times, Belichick leads 10-6

But he won't get the chance, his neck will give out by the end of the season.

I want to see how the D copes in preseason before getting carried away. We lost 20 sacks' worth of production in free agency, and it's a big ask for the rookies to step up immediately.

Also, last year we lost to Buffalo, and the year before to Cleveland. We're bound to lose a game to somebody who isn't fancied at all.
Yeah, there is always that. Don't really think Carter/Anderson were showing true talent, for some reason. Our system might have overhyped them. Hope addai fits in for law firm.

At least Peyton will kick Palmer into the dust, twice.

Just watched this video of Cam Newton highlights last year - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYDa7zOLVd4

He is scarily, ridiculously talented. When you see the variety of plays he can make put together in a video like that, just wow...

It shouldn't be possible to throw and run like that lol. His run against TB, 49 yard TD. Outran the DBs then dragged another 10 yards into the end zone, and his arm is also enormous, he just flicks the ball 60 yards.

Making me pumped to see what he can do next year.

I liked Locker's performance last year. After Hasselbeck retires, Locker will be an unstoppable force with Wright/Britt

    2007 Brady TD's: 50 passing, 2 rushing
    2011 Newton TD's: 21 passing, 14 rushing
If an elite quarterback at the top of their game has a ratio of less than 3 to 2 touchdowns compared to a rookie QB, either the "elite" sucks or the rookie rocks.

And FYI, Brady doesn't suck. Cam is beast.

I think Locker might be better than Hasselbeck now tbh.

Guys, for those of you who play American football, specifically in the BUAFL, I was just wondering how much the kit; pads, helmet, gloves etc. costs? Or, presumably do you rent or borrow it from the uni?

I was just wondering, as I when I start uni in september (hopefully if I get in that it is), I want to try and join the team there...

Also, what sort of boots do you need, I've got a couple of pairs of football boots, as in our football, but I didn't know whether you need rugby boots or something?

Sorry about the 20 questions guys!

People did buy their own kits but I rented mine, costing about £100 if i recall. I was told that that was quite cheap for the BUAFL though, so yours could be more. Where you headed to anyway?

Also, I wore football boots. Again, more serious people bought actual cleats designed for the sport but I found football boots to do fine.

Ah right thanks, yeah I think i'll rent mine then, I looked at a website where you can buy kit and some of the pads were £200 on their own, which is a tad steep!

Hopefully, I'm headed to King's College, grades depending!

Yeah I think i'll stick with the football boots i've got!

I just got pads on ebay, only spent on a helmet. Gloves are basically for fashion and linemen. Helmet is important. I'd get a neck roll cos I keep getting stingers but I play mostly DB now and I don't want to look like a total retard. So basically like, £250 overall for kit including lowers and game pants, more if you play in the box and have a weak little bitch neck like mine.

    Hey guys,
I have a question about what kinda position I would be suited to in American Football? I tried looking for a more suitable thread but I guess this someone could probably answer here?

Basically, im pretty short and wide; about 5ft7 and 100kg so ive got a fair bit of weight behind me but I feel like my height might let me down especially when looking at positions which would take advantage of my weight? Id say im fairly strong, I used to do a lot of martial arts and regularly lift beer kegs (part of my bar job not just some hobby I have) but it seems like my physique is pretty in terms of positions I could play. Any ideas?
    Cheers
