work experience for mech eng
just want to know if anyone did any work experience specifically for mech eng or did you just do general WE like volunteering?
I didn't have any work experience before I started my degree. I doubt that many who had came straight from school did have any experience. Those that did had it arranged through daddy or someone.
If you're worried about entry into a degree, then to the best of my knowledge, no university in the UK requires or cares about work experience before commencing the degree. Gaining it is too highly dependent on where you are and who you know. Universities are looking for strong academics first and foremost as this is the best indicator of whether or not you will succeed in your degree, not whether you spent your summer(s) making tea for someone at Boeing or Chevron.
