http://gcserevision101.wordpress.com/ - I used that quite a bit!
BBC Bitesize has some decent notes on it, although I don't rate them highly!
CGP guides (make sure you get the ones for your exam board) are pretty good!
Past papers + questions - easily available from the AQA website, do them all the way from like 2006 or whatever year they first started.
That's about it really! Looking back, GCSE Science is a breeze compared to A-level. Also, one major point. I found these revision guides to be vastly superior to CGP's:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Revision-Plu...006776&sr=8-13 - this one is for additional science but there are loads in the series, just make sure you get the right ones! These are beautiful...if you revise from these alone + past papers, you should get an A*. good luck

Re: Guide to getting an A* in GCSE AQA ScienceThese books are amazing. So easy to learn from, covers EVERYTHING really concisely. Got 3 A*'s using them and doing some practice papers. Couldn't recommend enough!(Original post by Part A)

Re: Guide to getting an A* in GCSE AQA Sciencethe Revision Plus ones? yes they are, best ones by far - they're so underrated though compared to the CGP ones, it's unfortunate because they're much better!(Original post by ummm)

Re: Guide to getting an A* in GCSE AQA ScienceNope, use the new Nelson thornes books for the separate sciences - the past papers will still be similar so USE them! and get the new specimen papers they've released for the new science exams.(Original post by Jed123)

Re: Guide to getting an A* in GCSE AQA Science
Hi, sorry this is late. I have my science GCSEs in summer and maths and english lit. B1 C1 C2 P1 P2. Biology and chem are AQA, and Phys is wjec. Maths and eng are WJEC too. As you probably know, I really need those resources that you have put together (btw thanks for taking that time). however, the link doesn't work ;( and it keeps saying page not found. I tried all of the links. Can you fix that possibly? Anway, I've been using CGP aqa exam board revision and work books for biol and chem (and the one that covers all exam boards for phys, as they don't have wjec phys
) topic by topic as a run up to the exam. Really really helpful. Londsdale books look great, but I don't think they're worth getting if you already got the CGP ones. Personal opinion anyway. I have been doing one topic a day and it is really good. First I go through my class notes for the topic, sticking closely to the spec. Then I revise the same topic in the rev guide. Then I do it in the workbook and mark it. When I have done a whole module through this process, I do, yep that's right there are such thing and they are VERY realistic, aqa practice papers from CGP. They are extremely realistic but IMO significantly harder than past papers. They really do help, especially when you're out of past and specimen papers (don't forget to do the specimen papers). If you like my revision method use it, I'm typically an A* student so it does definitely work for me. So overall, can that link be fixed and also please tell me how I can improve my revision method to ensure an A* in my modules. Thanks a bunch for taking your time to read this! =D
I'm talking from experience!!
