What should I do?

Hello all, I am currently in year 12 and I'm doing maths, physics, chemistry and business studies. I think that I want to do engineering but I'm not sure which one. I really enjoy chemistry and was thinking of doing chemical engineering but i don't know anything about it. If people could tell me what engineering courses are like and which one they think would be best for me I would be eternally greatful.

You've left it quite late haven't you :smile:

And their names pretty much tell you what it is;
Chemical - Obviously related to chemistry.
Electrical/ Electronics - Electricity related shizz.
Mechanical - All to do with machines/engines etc.
Civil/Structural - Buildings/ infrastructure etc.
Aeronautical - Planes/aerodynamics etc

Or if you werent sure you could apply for general engineering which is where you do a general course the first 1 or 2 years, and then specialise in the later years once you've had experience with all kinds.

I would disagree, year 12 still gives you the best part of 10 months to decide at this point.

Have you considered a general course, some unis although you choose a particular subject are general for the first year and then let you change your specific area once you have done a year and worker out what you like.
