I heard about series one being commissioned a year and a half back I think so I'd assume a similiar time frame which may not be bad as it'd allow script writers to make it even more funnier whereas if they rush to supply and demand, then it may fall short.

Re: BBC/Showtime "Episodes" - Starring Matt Leblanc and Some 'Green Wing' CastSeason 2 has been ordered for Fall 2011 premiere dates - because its not a freshman series, expect Season 2 to hit the screens in January 2012 AT THE VERY LATEST. The "it'll take a year and a half or longer" is just nonsense - we're not even talking about a full US season pick-up, it only has 7/8 episodes.

It's only a few half hour episodes, other shows manage a season a year with more/longer episodes so there's no reason for it to take too long. I would expect it to air around the same time next year though, so January 2012 as manchild said.
