Heey!I included in my portfolio about 15 pieces of observation drwanings using dieffrent materials,a project about Ophelia (about 20 pieces) in which i have put drawnings, collages and 2 photoshoots ,a womenswear collection and a menswear collection.?lso i puted a lot of photos because I am actually quite good at this and I want to continue with fashion communication and promotion so I think photos will be important too for me xD

I will present my portfolio in CD form with single power point file.what about you??
Are you from England?

P.S. sorry guys for my bad english, but english is not my first laguage and I am veeery tired right now o.O

I am still waiting for my teacher to write me a reference! I am so worried that although the deadline is the 31st I am really late compared to everyone!!

when did most people apply?
they did want the applications before christmas, but im sure that it wont matter as the actual deadline is the 31st. All i need is confirmation that they have actually rcieved my application, but i never get anywhere when i ring them up!!

I didnt send any application yet, as i want to visit the open day first. Which is on 24th of jan. It shouldnt be a problem then.
Heyho, I am preparing my postal portfolio atm (i'm from germany) and i wonder how many images we may send in? You can only list like 15 pieces in Section J of the application form.. do you know if supporting work/sketches is considered ONE piece of work?
Can we write statements to our work? e.g. what kind of info/research we used/did ..

Is anyone else annoyed by the automatic out of office reply by the [email protected]???
Heyho, I have no idea where my reply went so I'm typing again.

And is supporting work for one project considered one piece of work each or does one project count as one piece of work? & what about random sketchbook work?
Do you know if we may write a statement describing the work?
Thanks xx

oh my days, your scaring me with the amount of work you've got! I thought you're only suggested to bring in 20-30 piece? but erm, so the portfolio is quite fashion based ey? aww i bet your good! mine is more fine art, a bit or drawings, paintings and clay, just bits and bobs of everything really! and yeh i am so i'll be bringing my actual portfolio with me. it's presented on A1 sheets. And dont be silly your english is perfect best of luck

hey there! i think we are suggested to include around 20-30 pieces! and NOOO i think a piece counts as a piece, not a project! and sketchbook counts as a piece as well. and tbh i dont think they'll bother reading it if you have a random piece of sheet of writing. although if you wanna talk about your work or project, just put writings in your sketchbooks? hope it helps xx
Ahhh! i have mine on the 26th and i am sooo nervous. still preparing my portfolio : ) x

Noope, it's the same day as my psychology exam so my dad's going to have to drive to london and take it for me! I live in the cotswolds haha. he's got friends there he can visit while he's waiting... haha. I'm so panicked i dont have enough in my portfolio to meet the criteria well enough! i've got a few life drawings, a few observational drawings... 2 paintings... and pictures of a bird cage i made?!!! I do photography outside of school, but i'm not sure of what is classified as "good" photography? Would it have to be a set-up context, like getting someone to dress up/pose? Or can I just submit shots of natural stuff, like stuff i see around me that's pretty....!? Makes me sound like a bit of an airhead.....!

oooh right, luckily i got friends there too so i wont look like an idiot chilling in london for 6 hours on my own :P SAME!!!!! i got same sort of stuff as you, but i dont think my stuff is like strong enough, it doesnt stand out :/ oh well whats done is done so no point worrying too much! i think just put what you like the most, it doesnt matter what's in the photograph, it could be absolutely anything as long as you can have something to say about it! or theres a idea/meaning behind it! well at least thats what i think :P dont worry too much dear!! xx
