Film studies at University of Essex

Hello. I plan on going to University of Essex for Film Studies. If anyone has any information regarding this course, please let me know. They say that only 25% of what we study is practical - rest is theory, is that a good proportion ? Thanks

Have you firmed the Uni? Essex is a decent enough Uni, but when I was applying through UCAS last year, I visited it and I wasn't -that- impressed with the facilities. It depends on what you want really, my course at Uni of Reading is about 60% Theory, 40% Practical, as I like to have about an even spread, though I do like the theoretical side of Film/TV/Theatre.

Well, the thing is that I'm not from UK, and I already have some friends at Essex, it's close to London, etc, so that's why I prefer Essex. As for me, I also like the theoretical side of Film / TV / Theater, but I feel that 25% practical is a bit too little, and I believe that I need more in this branch.
