Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.You really are an annoying tit. The thought of voting for the same party as you actually puts me off voting Labour at all.(Original post by Teveth)
If anything, the public are showing an increasing desire to reject far right extremist parties such as UKIP, the BNP and the Conservatives. -
Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.I thought it works out something like every 30 mill we put in we get 17 back. I do not know the exact statistics but I know are are running a loss on the EU(Original post by Inversion)
A lot of the anti-EU sentiment just seems very reactionary and uninformed to me. Do you have any proper sources which evaluate the overall trade benefits? -
Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.
The BNP seats in the EU mean bugger all. They actually won the seats with less votes than the last election (in those regions), but gained 2 seats simply due to low voter turnout. Their support hasn't increased at all really. If you look at how many votes per constituency they got in the 2010 election it had barely changed from the 2005 election, so when somebody says the BNP have got increased support because they got X amount of votes, don't listen to them because it was simply because they put up more candidates.
They're just as irrelevant as they always have been, tbh.Last edited by tieyourmotherdown; 20-01-2011 at 11:11. -

Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.your arguments mean nothing, as demonstrated by my previous posts.(Original post by tieyourmotherdown)

Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.
Can I just point out the BNP wants to renationalise major parts of our economy, spend more on pensions and the NHS, increase worker protection... It's is a far left party.
Simply saying that they want to deport immigrants makes them right wing would in fact make Stalin a right winger. -
Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.infact what they say is that they want to crack down on immigration and get rid of the illegal immigrants, who doesn't agree with that?(Original post by rencj)

Re: Support if growing for alternative political parties.From their website:(Original post by mathperson)
infact what they say is that they want to crack down on immigration and get rid of the illegal immigrants, who doesn't agree with that?
- Deport all the two million plus who are here illegally;
Can you imagine how brutal they would be in implementing this?
- Review all recent grants of residence or citizenship to ensure they are still appropriate;
Frankly this looks like them kicking out anyone they don't like the look of, even if not here illegally.
- Stop all new immigration except for exceptional cases;
All immigration? Not even doctors? Nurses? Footballers and professionals who pay huge amount of tax? Or are those thousands of cases 'exceptional'?
My point is this is all rather more brutal than you imply. Unless 'cracking down' means deporting people who already already are citizens. -

Now, when you say 'how brutal they will be', ofcourse they, like and government will be firm with upholding the law.
As for your argument about doctors etc, train more in this country so that you can speak to a doctor that can actually understand you, and send the others back to people so they can understand them, everything is back to front in this topsy turvy world run by people in high visibility jackets.
