You can try it now on pc.
The team at Bethesda Game Studios is excited to announce another new feature making its way into Skyrim… Mounted Combat! Like the recently added Kinect support (360) and new kill cameras, this highly-requested feature that was seen in the Skyrim Game Jam video is arriving for free. In fact, by opting into the latest Steam Beta Update, PC users can check out the feature today. As far as release on other platforms, we’ll let you know when we have more information.
Would have expected this to be some sort of dlc thing. :beard:

Does that mean that there's going to be horse armour in Skyrim?

There are already a few mods that add horse armour. I believe they should remain largely compatible, but I guess there may be some official released horse armour too.

On an unrelated note, something I whipped up that makes faction armours (Imperial, Stormcloak, Hold Guard etc) not completely worthless:

I would certainly have hoped Beth had learned their lessons from the amount of criticism they got over their titchy/near-useless Oblivion DLC packs (most notably the horse armour, but some other stuff was nearly as bad) to know that releasing something like this as DLC would never go down well with the fanbase. Especially after Bethesda already promised that the DLC would be reasonably-sized.

Yeah I have that same disappointment, oblivion was so consuming that it never gets boring no matter how many times you play it. But with Skyrim I wouldnt be bothered creating new players.
    :sigh:

Dawnguard: Create a Redguard male, specialise in using swords. Find a mod that allows you wear sunglasses. Be Blade.

Very annoyed with Skyrim and not sure how to fix it as it only happens with this game!

Whenever I start playing (PC), I get all these flickery squares (mostly white) appear on the screen. It doesnt happen on the main menu, only when I continue my game.

    Anyone have any ideas?

And the Akaviri Dai-Katana mod would be useful too.

Quick question, is it worth getting Skyrim now or waiting till its a bit cheaper/been patched up? (please quote me!)
