Some tough games in your final run.

April looks especially tough.
Great day out. Barely remember the match though, was that hammered. Euro aways aren't really about football a lot of the time.

Italian police though. Paranoid. Insisted on escorting us on a bus filled with 60 year old men boasting about how long they'd been going and how many loyalty points they had. No wonder why people act up. It's frustrating. Was fortunate enough to escape the corral and enjoy a beer in a local bar and practise my pidgin Italian before the match though. Owner was really welcoming. Nice touch in a sea of hostility.

Punchbags of Europe

You lot going better in Europa will hopefully derail your title chasing ambitions enough. Hope you get to the final and lose 5-0.

See much of Florence? The city centre? I've been twice - once only for a day, when I was staying in Pisa and fancied a day trip - but it's gorgeous.

Not a load this time but did get a good walk around. Been before, including climbing the cathedral dome, going into Santa Croce, the Bardini gardens and the Accademia gallery, so decided to pay a more brief visit this time.

The Boboli Gardens you mean? Really nice place.

I reckon Spurs should have enough to get past them in the second leg, but of course, a lot depends on if you progress in the FA Cup and the team Pochetinno deploys.
Pity about yesterday. Looked like another Euro hangover - not 'relieved' in the slightest to be out though. Cup runs are always good; we've been disparaged as a 'cup team' in the past but I think there's a positive element to take from that branding. It's always good for the confidence.

Turning our attention to the second leg this Thursday. Hoping Toby A slots back into his usual commanding position. Trippier back in too. Maybe something along the lines of the following: Vorm, Trippier, Toby, Wimmer, Davies, Dier, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane.

Bentaleb probably deserves a start in the EL, to be honest. He has played well in the FA Cup - and Pochetinno has deployed him each round - but I read earlier how he has only made one fleeting PL/EL appearance all season.

He's currently being torn apart on Spurs forums for the loss. Baffling. So it's his fault Dier is on top form as a defensive midfielder. These are the same people that are relieved to be out of the FA Cup and want us to lose on Thursday. Not that I want it to happen in the slightest, but they'll be kicking themselves if we lose this week, drop points to Swansea and end up battling Man Utd for fourth. If absolutely nothing else we need to maintain our momentum and just let yesterday sit as a blip.
Sol Campbell at Arsenal: 2 league wins in 3 years
Spurs: 2 league wins in 133 years.

So small time ffs. Don't even deserve to be our rivals.

Agreed.

I feel the same about Leicester's poor result last weekend. They need to consign it to history and move forward.

Very cringey I agree, but not as bad as seeing your local rivals win the league on your patch...

Also something to be said for harking back 12 years later when you're behind in the league... and judging by the average age on here you probably have scant entitlement to lay claim to 2004 let alone 1971... but forgive me if you were older than six years old on that day.

Your little run in the league ain't going to last. You lot are professional bottlers. Remember 11/12 season when we were something like 10 points behind and still finished above you? Or that other time your players got the sh*ts and lost to West Ham on the final day. Can't smile without you...

And us winning the league at WHL still happened regardless of how old I was.

Maybe not and yes and yes. Don't forget the time Roy Carroll scooped the ball out of the net with impunity and when Chelsea were awarded a goal that never crossed the line, when Palacios passed to Fabregas for number 2 just after we conceded, or when Crouch hacked Marcelo twice in 15 minutes for an early bath...

At the moment with all the heartache I'll take being ahead on GD and having Chas & Dave over the Away Boyz in my park in Ed-mon-ton.
I think a north london club will win the league.
Fiorentina are taking the EL very seriously, it would seem. Sousa dropped a number of first-team players for their 3-2 win over Atalanta.

Thought you were talking about Arsenal at first - most of that could be true for both of you tbh, except yours isn't final day, it's February/March usually.
