ME does paid DLC the best out of any game i'm aware of.

Hopefully this will bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3 rather nicely.

Has anyone played the Arrival DLC yet? I thought it was pretty good, though a bit short.

    Just played it.

Did't think to much of it. Quote me what you think of it when you complete it.

Thought it was alright. It was cool but just not worth that much extra money IMO...

The actual gameplay during the DLC was a bit averagey really, but the story bit at the end set up ME3 quite nicely I think.

The new DLC is downloading now, awaiting my return from work...the trailer didn't exactly fill me with hope, but I'm a sucker for more Mass Effect

Oh christ no. Rockstar are the only company to make any DLC that has been half decent, think GTA IV and RDR. The Shadow Broker was good, but all the others have been pretty weak.

gameplay meh. some interesting game mechanics (e.g. controlling the mech, sneaking past the guards, survive as long as you can etc.) bioware might introduce this into me3

    good story tho.

it was so obvious that kenson was indoctrinated. seriously who hasnt been indoctrinated after being in contact with a reaper device?

Yeah it was different. However I don't think I want to go anywhere without my squad again:cool: I am guessing ME3 will start with you on trial on earth then you get attacked or something.

maybe... altho i went the renegade option and hackett said that if earth was in any danger i would have to help out immediately (instead of going to earth to be trialled)... and in the trailer Shepard is in space looking down on earth so perhaps this invasion happens mid game. or it could throw you into the action right away although that does sound slightly odd given how mass effect 2 started with easy shooting and then ended with an epic battle.

I agree with you, think it will be a bulid up kind of thing as the reapers head for the mass relays Shepard has to convince races to join him/her or those he/she has already ahs support of back him up. I hope they work shepards trial into it, that is if he/she has to for wiping out 300,000 Batarians.

Possibly the worst piece of DLC of all I'm sorry to say. Can't even agree that the story was good, and as for 'interesting gameplay mechanics' being controlling a mech and a terrible faux-stealth section...really? Just felt horribly tacked on to me.

Okay, I haven't played it yet, but surely it can't be as bad as Firewalker?

It's not as bad as Firewalker. It's decent, but just not worth what we all paid I reckon.

I actually found being incredibly frustrated by crashing into the lava over and over again more entertaining than the solo battling against the same old enemies in this

Yeah, I got that offer. Over a year after I bought ME2. For the full price. Because I got it on release day.
