NMC Numeracy requirements have changed?

Hi, I'm currently doing an Access to Nursing course and my understanding for entry to a Nursing BSc is that if you do not hold a GCSE in Maths A-C you are required to obtain a Level 2 Numeracy qualification, which I have. All the entry profiles for various Universities state this.

I recently had my first interview at a University and they informed me that the Nursing and Midwifery Council has changed the requirements for entrance to the BSc. People who do not hold GCSE A-C now require a Level 3 Numeracy qualification.
They informed me that this was available from Learn Direct but I've phoned them and they don't offer them.

I've got four more interviews coming up but I'm feeling quite dejected. I've either got to hope that the college will provide the course for us or I'll have to postpone for a year and do a Maths GCSE. :frown:
