Have you ever got untouchable status in FM?
I got that in FM 11 after clean sweeping twice and winning the champions league and FA cup, but I'm only on secure atm on this save, I need to win la liga, until then I have no chance.
I've just reached Untouchable - did the English treble with some extras last season, and this season I've won the Premiership, got to the final of the CL (haven't played it yet), went out in the FA Cup Sixth Round. Couple of minor trophies too.

Edit: Bloody hell, now Man Utd are after Vrsaljko, Tottenham are after Damiao and Barca are after Thiago Silva.
Lmao. How many seasons in are you? I bought Vrsaljko a half-season ago (Jan '13), wondering how he'll turn out...

Starting my 5th season now. He has everything you need for a good attacking full back. The only stats of his that aren't 13+ are corners, finishing, free kick taking, long shots, penalty taking and flair.

Just splashed out £20m on a brilliant 20 year old LB that ive had my eye on for a while now. Sold a youngster for £3m, El Sharaawy for £4m, Kagawa for £8m and Asamoah for £5m too. Just need a RW (trying to get Deulofeu from Barca) and another CM and my squad is sorted.

Also, Benzema has just gone to Stuttgart. :dontknow:

Tempted to reinstall FM10, go on holiday for many seasons, then see how the youngsters I brought in turned out - seeing as I doubt I'd actually play it again!

Right now my plan is to stay at my club until this guy really gets things going int he first team:

Started to play the 2012 demo. Chose Everton. Signed Guti and Zenden on a free, but had to sell Jan Mucha as I my wages were in the negative - sold him for about 3.9 million and gained about 20K in wages as well as signing Nicholls from Wigan on a free as a replacement who's on about 400 pounds a week on transfer deadline day (don't care if he's terrible, Howard is my first choice with Hannenman as my back up).

Drew to Newcastle 1-1 with them equalising in the 84th minute. I then proceeded to beat Wigan 2-0 and Anderlect (in the League Cup) 6-0 with James Mcfadden getting man of the match on his return with 2 goals. My next game was a 3-3 draw with Norwich away(which went 0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3). Looking forward to Leicester next in the cup.

Update: Beat Swansea 2-1 at home with Jagielka scored in the 59th minute as well as beating Tottenham (who were in 4th) 4-1 away!

Just offload him, his dribbling isn't high enough for a decent Winger.
Looks like I won't find out... Just got sacked in December by AS Monaco after languishing in the bottom half of Ligue 2.

That was my first proper game of FM2012, looks like I have a lot of learning to do. I really am tactically clueless .

Started yet another game with Liverpool.

Not had a great start to the season, too many draws. Suarez and Carroll have been off form and not scoring. Been playing Sanogo up top in place of them. Had too many draws and stupid home defeats (0-3 against wolves). Looks like SI have made liverpool very realistic

I somehow lost the club world cup to corinthians...
but I've won 11 games in a row in the league and closed down a 10 point gap to a 4 point gap with a game in hand. I haven't conceded in 5 league games either. My defence is just so beasty.

I sold my best defender for 25 million to valencia(wanted to leave) so I started using my backup from the youth squad who's 4 star potential, my backup then gets signed for 4 million by man city ffs!!! I then bring my other backup on loan. I'm turning into arsenal.

This is turning into raid real sociedad month. Juventus want my other defender who's been quality but is loyal as hell so wouldn't leave.

That's been the same for me whenever ive started with Liverpool on FM12. Stupid players making mistakes, lack of any decent finisher (Suarez is hit and miss, he'll score 4 one game, then not score for half a dozen more), crap centre mid, not enough money to upgrade where you need to, and a lot of average players on high wages.

City are just a pain in the arse tbh. Over the last 2 years they've tried to Thiago Silva, Mussachio, Papadopolous, Vertonghen, Griezmann, Di Maria, Ganso and Damiao from me.

PSG and united are annoying too. Real madrid are absolute dickheads as well. I did mug madrid off nicely. Got a guy for free, sold him for 5 million a season later, madrid never play him and I can get him on a free, but I have 2 left wingers already and he's 27 so he's too old for me tbh.

Bought Neymar for Liverpool. Oh monthly installments. £55m. Will soon be getting sacked due to my soon to be extremely poor finances.
win the league every season for the duration of the monthly fees or at least come close and you should be okay

Yeh in my match against wolves Pepe just walked to get a ball even though 2 wolves players were sprinting towards it, they obviously beat him and tapped it past him. Not sure if I that was a bug or not but I was so pissed off

The way to play with Liverpool is

    4-1-2-2-1

    Flat back four,
    defensive midfielder (always Lucas)
    2 centre mids
    2 wingers
    1 striker

Play with a slightly above middle defensive back line, quick tempo and quite wide. It goes great!! I'm unbeaten in November having won all my matches apart from vs Man City which I drew!

Also sign Seydou Keita if you can he's transfer listed at the start and is a great player to have in centre mid whilst Gerrard is out! 2.6 mill well spent

The way to keep Suarez scoring I've found is to switch him around game to game. So in one game I'll have him upfront (Trequartisa) the next I'll have him as a left winger, the next back to striker, the next a right winger! He seems to thrive on rotation and has 5 goals in 7 starts and has 4 assists!

Also get rid of Fabio Aurelio he just gets injured all the time, Robinson is a handy stand in at Left back or you can put Glen Johnson there for a couple of games

Update: Smashing teams left right and centre, 3-0 vs away at Swansea, 4-1 away at Newcastle, 3-1 away at Blackburn. Beat Chelsea 1-0 away; Suarez did a Messi chip one on one with the keeper from the edge of the box :sogood: Coates, Kelly and Hendo all playing significant roles and playing well. Things are looking good! However United are also on a roll and are only 2 points behind! :pierre:

Thanks, I'm using the tactics I've always used before the update as liverpool which were much more effective then than now it seems. I'll try your suggestion. I bought Affellay as a Gerrard replacement as I play him at AMC. Usually I'll go for a 4-2-3-1 set as control, then switch to 4-3-1-2 counter attacking for the more difficult games, always worked before but might need some tweaking.

Focusing on buying youth and playing them early on rather than buying established players now. Getting the youth facilities upgraded early next season too (if I'm still in the job).

Other than Keita I've signed youth, Niang and Sanogo are a pretty damn beasty partnership for the reserves atm (both scored a hattrick against burnely reserves ) Shelvey is pretty useful, coming off the bench against the lower down the league teams as is Flanno, Kelly and Coates!

Just need a young left winger then my future looks great (Raheem Stirling on the right wing deffo for the future! )

Into my 5th season now with Milan. I think ill probably move club after ive made Milan become the most successful team in every competition. Currently 6 Serie A titles behind Juve, 2 CL behind Madrid, 3 Coppa Italia's behind Roma and 1 Club World Championship behind Barca.
