This guy is also one of the most well rounded DM's ive ever seen on FM.

He's still only 21 too. :coma:
He can head the ball, so long as he doesn't have to jump

But yeah, that's remarkable! Get his dribbling up and he'll just boss the midfield!

Yeah, I suppose that's one weakness.

Although I do have Javi Martinez sat alongside him to do the jumping. :awesome:

How do I apply for the Great Britain U23's Olympic manager role?

There is a vacancy for it in the Job Centre tab in Jobs. I can't apply solely to that though. I've clicked Apply All to see if that would work but as a consequence applied to pretty much all vacancies except that. :facepalm2:

The Olympics are in 2024, and I'm in 2023, if that matters for anything. Doubt it would but its the only thing I can think of preventing me from applying.

Edit: Alright after a bit of googling it seems as though the job only gets offered around the end of the season of the year of the tournament.

Fairly certain the U-23 job is only available for the 2012 Olympics.

Anyone want to recommend me a DM/MC? I basically want another M'Vila in my squad rotation. I'm 3 seasons in.

Every penalty shootout i've had on this game has been a joke. After 2 or 3 takers from each side absolutely everyone just misses the target and it goes to ridiculous stages of sudden death.

Had a pretty good tie otherwise. Beat Spurs and Man Utd to get Marseille in the CL semi final, lost 1-0 away picking up 2 injuries and suspensions. In total I was missing my RB, CB, LB, CM, RW and LW from my best 11 for the second leg. Took the lead from the spot, my backup RB got sent off, still dominated but no one scored through the 90 and then extra time. Went to penalties, beat them 3-2 after 7 pens each, Marseille missed 5 in a row. That's one of the more moderate shootouts as well, i've had some embarrassing ones that have gone through to the keepers at about 3-3

    New to this thread! :hello:
Second atm with ADO Den Haag of the Eredivisie, quarter finalists of the Ducth Cup and in the last 32 of the Europa League.
Just wondering, how and when do owners change? This has never happened to any of my clubs before!
Also, another thing, managers always seem to say, "feels the two of you can become friends" and never have they asked to become friends and I can't ask them...?

Haha! I can't wait until I get a laptop soon, instead of having to use our house computer, as my exams have nearly finished too!

my transfer budget is around 470 million currently...:awesome: I could go nuts, but I want to try and make my net spend equal or better than zero.

I would, but given I've won ten of the last eleven PL titles and consecutive Champions Leagues, I hardly feel like I need to. My squad is huge as it is...

Failed to retain my title, 88 points is a decent total but Barca got 93. Had a terrible start and that cost me.

Won the Spanish Cup, beat Madrid 4-1 in the final...

...but had the CL final a few days later against them and lost on penalties. 1-0 down for most of the match, Fierro scored from outside the box in the very last minute of stoppage time, I dominated extra time but couldn't score, and then lost on the shootout. It was actually realistic for a change (:zomg:), 4-3 after 5 each. Both of us were crippled by injury so it didn't feel like a proper final though.

In other news, I denied rumours linking me to the Man Utd job and they ended up with Roberto Mancini  and then I was favourite for the Madrid job, who I also told to piss off.

Oh, and Salamanca condeded 138 goals in their 38 league games which is perversely impressive. Can't remember anything quite that bad before, although i'm sure some have seen worse. Barca scored 110 goals which is impressive in the right way. They've won the league 3 times scoring 107, 108 and 110 goals.

I don't feel like loading FM tonight again given my game takes so long to load, but I'd guess in the region of twenty-five. I rotate a hell of a lot, which isn't so bad as they're all of pretty good quality...

Just having an absolutely cracking season with Atletico in 2016/17..won everything I was involved with..including the super cup, club world championship etc....CL final...lose 2-1 to Real (who I spanked every other time i met them) via a 93rd minute OG by my otherwise outstanding keeper...:ahee:

Falcao is still a bear at 31/32. Scored 223 goals for me in my 6 seasons so far..I have the perfect replacement for him but he isn't ready to be phased out yet, still bossing it.

I think it's random, but sometimes the chairman can indicate he wants to leave (it says his status on the club info screen) which means you're more likely to get new owners in. I've never had it happen either.

I started a West Brom save about a week ago. It's my most enjoyable FM12 save yet. You get a decent starting transfer budget of £6M with the expectation of avoiding relegation.

I finished my first season in 16th place, despite us punching above our weight for the first three-quarters. I sold a lot of players and spent a lot of money on recruiting new talent with a few young players. In the 2011 summer transfer window, I signed the following:

    Diego Arismendi - DM - £1.9M
    Granit Xhaka - MC - £2M
    Eric Lichaj - RB - £1.3M
    Ionut Neagu - CM - £110K
    Adam Federici - GK - £3.8M
    Wilfried - ST - £2.5M

Wilfried has been a fantastic buy. He scored ten goals in first season and so far in the second season he's got 12 in 17.

Got given a transfer budget of £12M ( :O ) for the second season, with the same expectation of avoiding relegation. The stadium has been expanded by 6,500 seats and the training facilities are currently being improved.

We've started this season really well and we're 11th at the halfway point.

Other signings I've made are: Marcus Hansson, Rasmus Bengtsson, Isidoro, Moustapha Bayal, Alberto Pelagotti, Didier Ovono, Nikola Vujadinovic, Paul-Jose Mpoku, Valter Birsa, Patrick van Aanholt, Robert Acquafresca, Franco di Santo, Michalis Sifakis.

I know there are a lot of signings there but I sold most of my original squad as it was full of mediocre players.

Will post a new update at the end of this season.

EDIT: Just been given £7.75M by the board to avoid relegation at the mid-way point. Don't think I'll spend it though, unless I can attract a great player.
