Re: Football Manager Society IICesar Azpilicueta of Marseille is a brilliant right back. Cost me £11mill and about £50k per week. Romario of Vitoria can also become a good RB with good training, although he often doesn't qualify for work permit at beginning of the game.(Original post by Zerforax)
Never tried the latter two. I still buy Snra in FM11 and 12
Although that is because I struggle to find great RBs.
I want mad and spent a huge sum to buy Lahm who gets crazy wages but is immense at both LB and RB

Re: Football Manager Society III didn't, I quit. I meant I sacked it off, meaning got rid.(Original post by TrulyEpicLawls)
How the hell you get sacked in 1-2 hours? -
Re: Football Manager Society II
So, with regens. I'm about 4 complete seasons into my save. I have France, England, Spain and Germany loaded and playable leagues and then countries like Brazil, Portugal and Argentina loaded as view only.
Read somewhere that having more leagues = more regens and countries like Czech republic and Croatia are good to have. Do I need to have them as playable leagues or view only? And how do I add whichever I need? How long will it take for regens to start appearing in those leagues? -
Re: Football Manager Society IITotally not answering your question, but as additional info: regens can make a previously unselected nation as manageable.(Original post by Zerforax)

Some nations like England can be available from the off even if you don't load players or leagues from there. -
Re: Football Manager Society II
Found a blog which listed a couple of dozen highly rated clubs - been going through their full squads (first, reserve, youth) with youngster first and looking at players under 21 with value over 500k and/or determination above 15.
Didn't get a chance to look at the scout reports yet but hopefully there are some gems and some cheap options in the few dozen reports I get. Think I'll start filling out my U18 with tons of players
Or is it better to have a limit? Better to have 20 youth or no difference having 50? -
Re: Football Manager Society III've found that if they're good enough you can generally send them on loan quite easily so they get the gametime they need.(Original post by Zerforax)

I always pad out my squads with youngsters.

Re: Football Manager Society II
Just got a touchline ban, had to miss league cup final against Utd.
Assistant took charge, 3-1 up with 80 minutes gone, great!
Then suddenly "Arsenal switch to a more attacking style"... And he did it 3 times.
Needless to say, conceded in the 84th, 86th and 89th minute. Lost 4-3.
He's sacked. -
Re: Football Manager Society II
I'm in my first proper title race for 5 years. 29 games gone and both me (Milan) and Juventus are on 75 points. Luckily I have the head to head record so I have a bit of a cushion. It's looking likely that ill play them in the Coppa final and ive got Barcelona in the Quarter Finals of the CL.

Re: Football Manager Society IIYes & I'm pretty sure they do?(Original post by Cashley)
Can you manage a club and a nation on the same save?
Also, why don't international managers have contracts? -

The previous time I had publicly spoken out was a decade or so ago and I haven't had reason to risk it since then.
I don't reload games, but if something unrealistic like that happens, and not being able to give my assistant a list of times when tactics/players should be changed or cheat with a mobile phone, I'll have to until I'm sure I've got the tactics right and the game turns out fair.
Which FM are you palying? In FM 2007, for example, international managers don't have contracts. In fact, managers only have a chance of getting sacked if they qualify for a tournament (I fix that myself...).(Original post by Cashley)
Next to the contract section on my profile it just says N/A? -

I'm playing FM 12 but I don't have a contract for international management? -
Re: Football Manager Society III feel your pain, i've rage quit twice against them. They have a regen striker who keeps making a mockery of my Athletico Madrid defense, my away tactics are suspect as it is but still(Original post by mevidek)
Why are Real Madrid so overpowered and ****ing unbeatable?
Past two rage quits have been 5-3 and 2-2. NEED A WIN
Edit: Third rage quit: 1-0 loss. Falcao missed a penalty

Re: Football Manager Society III'm Bayern and I keep getting put with them at the semi finals of every single Champions League.... Last year I lost both matches but won the Bundesliga. This year I won one, cannot win this one (I replayed it over and over just to see if it would work, but no) and am probably going to come second in the league to Dortmund. What's worse is that I'm on a long contract and forgot to shorten it to a 1-2 year contract so I could leave to go international. Unfortunately there are no jobs available either(Original post by Blame)

Re: Football Manager Society II
Do people often rage quit? I haven't since 2008 as it seemed to cheapen it a bit - I remember on 2008 I had to win at home to relegated West Ham on the last day of the season. 1-0 up, Carlton Cole scored a 94th minute equaliser to cost me the title. I convinced myself not to quit then and haven't since that game...
Sacked the Barca save, might go Brum next.
