Re: Football Manager Society II
Another brief 'Almir Watch' before I go out.
He won Player of the Month in January 2043, scoring seven goals in five games, including three in my 2000th game as manager - an 11-0 win over Newport County.
He's just scored his 975th Chelsea goal away to West Brom, and followed it up with another goal before I substituted him to save him from injury or fatigue; he has the orange 'RST' icon by his name occasionally for the first time. 24 to go. -
Re: Football Manager Society IIThat's insane. Think he will last another season and a half (or sooner) for his 1000 goal? Will you let him keep going until he retires or stop at 1000?(Original post by KingMessi)

How much did he cost you originally? -
Re: Football Manager Society III think he'll do it next season bar a ludicrous drop in form - he is, after all, thirty-eight and hasn't deteriorated much since about 34. He has twenty-four to go and there's a tiny part of me that's whispering that he could do it this season...(Original post by Zerforax)

I'll let him keep going until he retires; god knows he deserves it.
He cost 11.5 million originally. He's worth 325,000 now.

What age did you get him at initially?
Love to see a screenshot of him when you first got him, at his peak and now. What were his wages like? -
Re: Football Manager Society IIHe's my first choice striker despite the fact that I do have far better (regarding stats/value/age) strikers available. Unfortunately I'm literally just leaving now but when I get home I'll post a screenshot of all my strikers' stats.(Original post by Zerforax)

I may still have a screenshot of him in his best season, in which he scored 83 goals. He's actually never cost me too much. At his peak his wages were around 120K a week. I got him at age eighteen. -
Re: Football Manager Society II
How do you guys tend to play away from home in matches against mid table teams? In terms of formations and general instructions?
For some reason, these games are the ones that my team consistently comes unstuck in. We can be on a 5 game winning streak and then lose 3-0 to Sunderland

Re: Football Manager Society IIOh sick! I can't wait now!(Original post by biggie)
I signed both Kanoute and Counago for Barrow, and both were very useful. Counago was regularly my leading scorer up to League 1 level, while Kanoute was still my first choice centre back for two seasons in the Premiership (ten seasons after I had started).

Re: Football Manager Society II20 Fin and Comp...(Original post by Alofleicester)
Is this where I bust out my FM 11 wonderkid and tell Almir to move aside?
323 goals in all comps at age 20.

At any rate, we've followed Almir for a while now. He'll always be a winner in my book

Re: Football Manager Society III always load up Scotland and England, then the rest of your basics for the general football world (Germany, Italy, Spain, France), Brazil, Argentina and Mexico for newgens and good players signable for smaller clubs in Scotland (I play as Aberdeen), and the Czech Republic and Croatia for the unbelievable Eastern European regens they get you. Found a wee Czech striker, 90 goals in 60 games. Unbelievable. Oh, you might also want to load up the Swiss leagues and try and poach their signings, Zurich and the Young Boys especially have a nifty eye for business.(Original post by fudgesundae)
Which leagues does everyone have loaded? -
Re: Football Manager Society IIAll the english, spanish and german leagues.(Original post by fudgesundae)
Which leagues does everyone have loaded?
Then the top leagues in: France (second league too), Portugal, Italy, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, USA, China, Japan, Scotland, Holland, Belgium
There may be more, that's what I remember always having loaded. They're generally all playable too

This will be rectified tonight
