Re: Football Manager Society II

On my Network/Napoli game i've won 27 games out of 30 this season in all competitions and i'm not top of the league. I've won 18, drew 0 and lost 3 in the league (all loses to other human players) and i'm 3 points off the top with the inferior H2H.
Won the Super Cup, won all 6 CL group games (Madrid were in my group) and into the Coppa Italia Semi Finals. Cavani has 33 goals in 24 games this season and has just won the Ballon d'Or.

Re: Football Manager Society II
Been a nice end to the season.
Vidic scored his 49th and 50th goals for the club as he captained my Man Utd to a win against Lyon in the CL final. He even stepped up to take a penalty for the hat-trick but smacked it against the post
Comfortably won the league in March but I was more interested in how the rest of the table looked; It's 2016 and Arsenal beat Chelsea to 2nd by a point. West Ham came up from relegation to make 7th and Wolves have done great to reach 6th. The best bit of all this though, is Man City.
Man City came in 2nd for the three previous seasons. They're always a real challenge to play against and have an excellent squad. Their manager is Mourinho, and he must be special in some way at least to have dragged them down to a 10th place finish. They lost 15 league games this season, and in their last 20 matches they won about 5, losing most of the rest. It's hilarious!
I'm looking to guide Spain to a Euros win now, and then plan to control the U23s for the Olympics too. Thinking of quitting Spain after that - I do want that World Cup trophy but I really cba with the team. Maybe I'll try the England squad once their manager gets sacked for doing poorly in the Euros... -
Re: Football Manager Society II
Finally got winning again in my Sailisbury City save after twelve league games without a win - my worst run ever on FM. I then won five in a row and seven out of eight. Strange how FM works. I'll probably finish tenth or eleventh; I told the board a top-half finish and they finished nineteenth last season so I say progress.

I can push for the play-offs next season. -
Re: Football Manager Society II
Things going well with my Liverpool save. Quite happy with my first team, so pretty much all my Transfer money is going into buying youngsters, some of which are already getting game time. Top of the league, still in all the cup competitions (using purely my second string team in the FA and League Cup)
I've applied for both the Thailand and Vietnam U-23s Manager job, just for an extra challenge. Did get offered the Real Madrid job (with a £200m+ transfer budget!) but turned it down -
Re: Football Manager Society III'd say france or italy. Italy most likely as their regens that come from roma/inter/milan/juventus are quality.(Original post by Zerforax)
I've resigned from Spain, want to pick another team to win the Euros with but can't decide who.. all the top ranked teams seem to have really old squads - with known players around 30 -

What's the XML error you're getting? Odds are that some graphical mod you've installed is ****ing something up. -
Re: Football Manager Society II
10th season as Porto. Just had one of those annoying 'game ending' months where nothing goes right for you and think you F*** this save.
The season before i had won the CL and had won everygame except one in the league, breaking records etc.
Comes to the new season and 2nd game i lost, then lost two of my strikers worth £20M plus long term injuries and they probably will be worthless when they return.
But the worse, was losing the World Club Championsip to Sao Paulo. Ive looked at the history before and they are the only team to have beaten the CL winners before, in 2005 which was Liverpool.
Just couldn't believe id lost it, one of those tournaments where if you win the CL you assume automatic victory. -

Scrub all I just said about Sailisbury, I just got offered the Barcelona job. Time to create a new super-team.

Salisbury not quite your taste then?
Hire Almir as your ass man!!!!

Re: Football Manager Society II

Well, it wasn't even like I was doing badly, bar that dreadful run - we were predicted sixteenth and I came eleventh, up from nineteenth in the season prior to my arrival. However, the allure of Barcelona was too tempting for me. I did want to win five titles in five top leagues, so this seems a good place to begin. I also got offered the Borussia Dortmund job but thought I'd start in Spain.
Almir is currently manager of Southend.

Re: Football Manager Society IIWell, surprisingly enough he wasn't inclined to join me at Salisbury, and by the time I took the Barcelona job he'd already taken over Southend. Had I not been so foolhardy in leaving Chelsea he would have been.(Original post by Champagne Supernova)
Why isn't he your assisstant manager? This displeases me greatly.
