Re: TSR Tennis Societylol, totally this.(Original post by TopHat)
You know how when you watch someone embarrass themselves in public, you can't help but feel embarrassed on their behalf? That sinking feeling of watching someone continuously dig the hole deeper? I feel like that reading Lamps08's posts.
Gutted I was at work during the match though! -

Re: TSR Tennis SocietyAnd another 2!(Original post by D-Box)
Fantastic Isner - coming back from 3 match points down.
But how does he end up in these situations? Serve like his, you'd feel sure before anywhere near here his opponent should make enough service mistakes for him to capitalise! -

What's the score in the Isner match, anyone? -

Re: TSR Tennis SocietyClément-Santoro at the FO in 2004 was longer I believe, 6 hours 33 mins long.(Original post by D-Box)
Am I right in thinking he now has the record for longest match in 2 grand slams now? Half way there! -
Re: TSR Tennis Society
^Most likely answer would be the combination of his (almost) unbreakable serve and his underwhelming return
And the lack of a fifth set tiebreaker of course!
So happy to see PHM win, he deserved it
He also displayed a mental toughness and unrelenting desire to win that wasn't there pre-knee operation, so I hope that continues.

Re: TSR Tennis SocietyWell, you did somewhat invalidate/embarrass yourself by saying that you tend to 'steer clear of Scottish people'. Mr Diplomacy, you are not.(Original post by Lamps08)
lol @ all the Angry Murray/Angry Scottish fans in this thread. -
Re: TSR Tennis Society
There's certainly a mixed reaction regarding Andy's situation yesterday. He came out in his press conference and said that the back spasm was seperate to his injury carried since December and that he had slept on it funny. He was told by his physio that it wouldn't get any worse by playing so it's clear to see why he carried on playing. Ljubicic also came out and said back spasms are the type of injury that hurts but gets better even when playing with it so he probably did make the correct decision to play on and it's not going to get any worse.
