"napkin" is indeed "serviette". no other word. (serviette is also used for "towel" in France)
for the ceremony, I've never heard of anything like that, but I'll check

I'm trying to check if traitement is really the name of the ceremony at Versailles where young girls were presented to The Queen?

where have you seen that? in what context? (it might help to find)

You might find the dictionary useless, try dictionary.com or just search! Technopeasant :smile: !
For the ceremony you might be better off actually researching French ceremonies on google, as opposed to looking up the meaning of the actual word! But yes I agree, French dictionaries have their limits...
