    Well in French (in French Canada at least) "Mettre" is slang for "To f**k". But it is an irregular verb.

    funny, and unexpected to read something swedish i'm swedish, where did you learn that? or is it from the web page?
    i looked at it but i have to say that some of the words/sentences isn't used that much.

    Sorry, I know how it is said phonologically, but my knowledge of Irish spelling is sorely lacking. I was told this by one of my Irish cousins, so I've never seen it written down.

    Perfectly understandable when you're English! I wouldn't worry, there are probably plenty of people in Ireland who can't spell it. Actually, strike that, Póg mo thón and Tiocfaidh ar lá are probably the only things they can spell!
