I can't tell you about your course but here's some about the university in general;

Pros;
nice campus
Nice town
The campus is with in walking distance of everything you need (Tesco, town, train station ect.) so you never have to pay for buses.
Good Student union

Cons;
Close to London so living costs are expensive
Night life is not as good as in some of the bigger cities.

If there's anything else you want to know just ask.

I'm on the Electronic Engineering course at Surrey, but I transferred into second year, so I only know what other folk have told me.

The courses are very highly considered and some of the lecturers from first year are clearly well-liked. If you work hard and study outside of lectures, you'll be fine.

The Uni itself is really nice to be at - lots of green. There are generally good facilities, but it's all very, very expensive.

The Union is just ****e for everything except club-nights. That's alright if you like that sort of thing though - I don't! :-p

We've got a good uni newspaper and TV and ****-loads of sports and other clubs.

The accommodation is generally pretty good, but quite small.

Is there anything particular you want to know?

Thats seems slightly contradictory as the Union = the newspaper, student TV as well as the clubs & societies :tongue:

and
****e for everything
as in what? Evenings aren't that bad, we have a good venue and all the other events and such aren't bad, like acoustic night, open mic night, society nights and such. Even the main union nights have specialist music downstairs as well as them running their own nights.

I'm just struggling to see what you refer to in your statement?

To refer to the actual topic, I have probably posted this stuff a few times before, use the search function and you'll probably find similar stuff though emi_sarb has the main crux of it.
