It disheartens me how quickly you pull 180.

It makes me feel better that your back isn't perfectly flat while deadlifting like me however, I've got a bit of roundback going on.

    Strrrooooong though.

If you consider his squat stance/strength, his deadlift is actually quite low. I reckon he should pull 220-230 very soon though just by geting used to doing conventional/any kind of dead again.

    Strong sauce Jason.

Thanks and definitely an understatement for my current pulls lol - I find it quite a nice setup and my back never felt nicer after heavy deads... weird.

Defo agree with that... shocked at how easy 180 was... havn't pulled conventional for a year. Just conjecture... but I reckon front squats may have helped for getting the weight off the floor.

Also bear in mind I was fatigued by the time 210 came... already tired by 200 and had no red bull left - front squat fail/max, and 90 mins of tennis... which as you know by my current "conditioning" is quite significant lol.

Only problem is... although maxing it fun, its also taxing - dunno how regular to DL max - any opinions on DL training? (ps it has swayed me back slightly in PL... just need to sort out that pesky bench).

Start job hunting soon. Having too much fun training like a pro weightlifter now... eat, sleep and recovery methods (sauna, steam, cold baths ect).. this needs to stop lol.

For training... I wanted to become an olympic weightlifter.. but discovered deadlifts are quite fun actually so... little torn atm. Will probs train both tbh and save maxing out for DL once every 2 months or so.

35kg :P never hit 2 plates bw. Hmmm just eat a lot and bear in mind I could loose some fat lol.

Just had to eat more to break through plateau's

Breakfast - 80g oats + whole milk, 6 eggs + cheese and olive oil and a shake

Cutting a little now after holiday.... 85-90's lean would be nice.

Ooooh its GOOD to be back... returned to the platform after 8 days off. Felt slow, but was well rested up... so smashed it. Was dead by the time deadlifts came, so went light.

    Back Squat:
    bar
    60kg x 5
    100kg x 3
    120kg x 1
    130kg x 1
    140kg x 1
    150kg x 1
    160kg x 1
    170kg x 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rog3b1SrIXk
    180kg x 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q00np_2GFj8
    185kg x 1 PB - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QgaM...el_video_title

Need to focus on technique... got sloppy towards end. Also probs time to spam in loads of back off sets... work felt easy today not a true max.

2 hours of tennis in between.

    Press:
    bar
    40kg x 5
    50kg x 3
    55kg x 1
    60kg x 1

    Push Press (these felt heavy):
    60kg x 2
    70kg x 2
    80kg x 1
    85kg x 1
    90kg x 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MonjtMqNSjw
    92.5kg x 1 PB - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lqE_bntrMI
95kg x fail.... weak sauce and bad stamina... gassed

Speed deadlifts up to a 170 single... nothing interesting.

    Finito.
