Here I'm trying to express what I did as a part of my last job. In English, I would express the text below as resolutions were made by implmenting , but in German I'm limited by the fact that it does not have a continuous tense. Hence, I have resorted to using present participle forms like verändernd. Is this correct ? If not, what can be used instead ?

Ich analyseerde die Betriebssicherheit probleme von dem Betriebsmitte durch Beobachtung von die muster in der maschinen Baumstäme . Beschlüsse werden abgesschlossen dadurch

    1) die Zustanduberwachung Zeitplane einfuherend.

2)die Wartungsintervalle und die Wartungsverfahren von den defekten Teile verändernd.

3)die defekten Teile mit der zuverlässiger Teile ersetzend.

-hugging- I'm not keen on writing essays for german either. not when we have been told we need to right approx 6-800 words on our essays, and yes, it will take us three hours to write them at first, but you'll get quicker. I've three essays to plan this weekend. YEY!

What I particuarly dislike is when you understand a grammar concept, use it in a essay and it gets tangled up with all these other rules and I get the whole 'cant see the wood for the trees' moments when I'm writing essays under pressure.

I'm like that. I've only ever done one essay under timed conditions in lesson before. It was blooming awful. I also get yelled at for fixating on the words I dont know, then ignoring the bits i do... i.e the rest of the sentense.

I tend to fixate on words I don't know when I'm speaking,I'm happily chatting then BAM I suddenly cant think of any other word that the one I want and don't know. Veery annoying but I'm working around it.I get my results next week so will improve from there.Hoping its a B,if it is a C I will cry.

In German (AFAIK) you only use the present participle as adjectives, e.g. entspannend - relaxing, verheerend - devastating.

Hence, you'd just use the normal past tenses.

Does anyone else find werden hard to use? I know what it means and how to use it with tenses but sometimes it is used in sentences and has meanings i've not thought about before.

From time to time. When my memory works it tends to be fairly ok.

Can you give me any tips on learning vocab? So it stays in my brain instead of just chilling there for a couple of days and leaving

Are you a visual learner/ Have synesthesia where you mix up words and colours/tastes/feelings?

I highlight my vocab. If its der, then it gets highlighted in orange (YES, I know it should be blue. but i dont have a blue highlighter) die gets highlighted in pink and das, it gets highlighted in green.

to keep it there, USE IT!! even if it involves using your vocab book to check the spelling/ meaning/ gender of it the first 5 times you use it.

I'm supposed to be learning something like 100 a week. I learn nowhere near that amount, as far as I'm aware. I do seem to pick vocab up without realising it i.e anlässlich. Much to the surprise of my teacher, annoyance to everyone else.

I am at a grammar school, and we're all, apart from me predicted to get an A/A* in german. Which might have something to do with it.
