I attended Loughborough for 2 months. Absolutely hated it and the only reason its winning these things is because its home to some of the most annoyingly competitive toss pots in the country
    I hear that, brother.

And guys:girls is very noticable. Also, the girls are a very set stereotype too.

I think it's a bit harsh that I was negged for that post. It's not hard to meet girls at Loughborough lets just put it that way.

Yeahhhhhh.... but if you asked someone on the street to name one one famous Loughborough alumnus, asked them what Loughborough is renowned for academically or even asked them something simple like where it is in the UK, chances are they wouldn't have a clue for all three

Because those are the criteria to meet to win best university, what people from the street know

And I'd bet you'd be surprised, Paula Radcliffe is an easy answer to a famous alumnus and pretty much everyone knows Loughborough is renowned for sport (e.g. whenever I tell people I'm at Loughborough, first question they ask "oh, so you're sporty then?"). And your last question is pointless, I'd bet a lot of people have a tough time pointing where Oxford is on a map.
