a 5-door = chavmobile suitable for the family man?
dude,if you're going for that look,at least do it properly with a 3-door car ¬.¬

ps: get the 'bumper plastic' colour door handles, and the strips on the doors and the bumpers, done to be the same colour as the rest of the car.

Colour code, get rid of the chav lights, debadge and dewiper rear and slam it and then come and post pictures

Nothing wrong with 5 doors, possibly remove the handles and put the doors on poppers for a nice smooth look

Yeah, but can you imagine the remote for 5 doors + boot + bonnet on solenoids?

Also, can you do em for the petrol cap... Now that is a thought!

Get an old Sky remote, np Even if he just gets the rear ones done, it'll look loads better. Bit of a pain to do though.

Yup, got some on my beetle, the other issue is using filler on the doors. Not fun!

I won't lie, those rear lights are sinful....and I'm not a great fan of the slightly bodged debadge, it's a pain to do with the mk. iv but it doesn't look good unless it's properly smoothed out. Need to debadge the whole car really.

Also I do hope you'll be making sure the HID's are road legal...are you swapping the headlight enclosures to the projector ones or just putting HID's in the normal enclosures?

I'd probably re-badge the grill (never understood why people do this - just makes it look as if somebody's nicked your badge!) and swap the rear lights. Oh, and maybe get rid of the LED numberplate lights. Overall though, it's not too chavvy.

Top advice. I have a 3 door, in 5 door form even tinting the windows doesn't look as good.

OP put your standard lights back on or the darker GTI ones..lexus ones only look good on a lexus. Not a fan of the grill either.

    :ahee:
you have a 3-door car - is it vw golf like this thread starter's, or different car entirely?

i personally think most hatchback cars look better in 3-door guise than 5-door *shrugs shoulder* to my eyes, 3door is essentially a slightly less sportylooking coupe with more boot space, but not coupe-like insurance ;D

.....i have a vauxhall corsa in 3-door, *cough*

Silly me for not mentioning my car lol. Audi A3 02. 3 door definitely looks better from side profile, much more sportier looking overall.. Which corsa do you have? Good choice on 3 door! The only modification I have made is tint the rear windows, comes out really well on 3 door or coupes. The rest is body coloured, so looks decent.

mmmmm, audi a3. i like these - colour of it? i know they do some nice colours for it.....i saw this lime-greeny one with dark colour alloys.....looked the mutt's nuts. i don't see many older a3s in white though (.......yes unfortunately i do like white colour on cars) ;D

me, i have a 2006 1.3cdti, corsa c, in 'spearmint silver' which actually looks more light green or blue to my eyes :| either way it is nice eyecatching colour for me. it is not the current shape one though, because while i wanted something not too old, i didn't want to spend any more than about £2500 total on car + insurance. and newer shape ones were closer to £4000 at the time of searching for a car.
also, people with nicer cars living in my area tend to get them vandalised. booooo. :/ mine is 'design' trim level though, so it still does have colour coded detailings (which for some reason was very attractive + important to me, o_O).

only things i have done since i bought it from old lady was
    - take off those 'strips' that go along the side of the car (don't know if they have a proper name different to this?)
    - tint rear window and the rear-side windows
    - get dark grey coloured alloys.....because i did not like the poverty-spec steel wheels which had these awful covers from halfords.
    - ....pedobear tax disc holder

i will not even dare going any further than that though......no body kits,no fancy incar entertainments, no noisy exhausts, no stickers/decals, or lowered suspensions for me. nooo.

I have a ClioSport one at the moment with a ClioSport membership card in and it makes me look like a bit of a proverbial  and there is nothing wrong with lowering your car, I hate cars that look like they're on stilts, I love the look of mine now it's been lowered Any pictures of your car?

Thinking of stickerbombing my sunroof and part of my rear window, anyone got any opinions on it?

I stickerbombed part of my car and so far I'm the only person that likes it :P but go for it I reckon!
