Cost of books and uniforms?
Don't know if this is the right place to put this but I'll be starting Children's nursing in September and was wondering what the verall costs of books and uniforms will be. Also how many uniforms will we need?
Your uniforms are supplied free of charge and you will probably get five tunics and five pairs of trousers.
The cost of books is entirely up to you. Don't buy anything until you have checked that the university library doesn't already have it, and if you do buy, then only buy the latest edition, check to see if they are planning a newer edition before buying. Sell your books as soon as you are finished with them in order to get the best price for them. Don't hang on to them for years and years. You really shouldn't need to buy more than a handful over the course and those will mainly be books that are newly released and not yet on reading lists.
