I've really enjoyed the show so far. There's something that annoys me though, her accent...why's she trying to hide it? It's so obvious I don't know why they bothered with it.
As for her pupil, he seems a bit weird like when he said, "I'm in love with her" I could see something really bad happening.

And yeah, I was thinking that Billy had sex with Martha, not too sure about rape though. Another stonking episode, loving it.

The reason I think rape is because of the way she froze when the woman asked her if she's keep a child if she'd been raped. There's something dodgy going on between Martha and Billy, he seems very manipulative of her but she seems to blindly trust him. That's two cases now where she's been put to compete with the other person going for silk.

He reminds me of Nick Grimshaw - I think a lot is because of his name, and Grimshaw was the first Nick that sprang to mind.

Is she supposed to be 21? She came across as someone with quite a bit more experience than Nick, so the age gap's only a few years. I dunno

A barrister once came into my school to talk to us at a careers event, and she said she deliberately changed her accent to be taken seriously. Perhaps they are trying to convey that in the show?

I'm more worried about the torture-burglar to be honest. Nick probably said that as an exaggeration of that he admired her, but I agree he is weird

It could have been just that barrister's opinion that she needed to change her accent to fit in, but then at the very least, the world of law gives the perception to some newbies that speaking 'properly' can help them in their career.

Something else I dislike is how unrealistic it is, I doubt a barister would have that much notice for a case like that, saying that a real barristers life could be boring. xD

I absolutely love The Good Wife! But I have been watching it for ages, it will take a while before Silk could live up to it in my mind... and I always struggle to compare British and American dramas - they always have such different styles!

A case like what? The torture-burglary? I think if they showed her not caring too much, people would complain it was just another thing demonising lawyers Also, perhaps it is for Nick's sake that she's explaining more of her thinking than one would expect from someone at the daily grind.

At the end of this episode, when she got home, I thought he'd be in there to be honest XD He's been saved from prison by her, given her a gift and is waiting for her at work. Having somehow gotten her home phone number (so her home address shouldn't be too difficult, as he knows her name and employer - or he could just follow her home one day), the next step is for him to pay her a visit - being a burglar he certainly has no qualms about letting himself in.

That's why I put grey rape, I think she may feel partially responsible or something, so doesn't think he deserves to go away for the crime.
