A case like what? The torture-burglary? I think if they showed her not caring too much, people would complain it was just another thing demonising lawyers Also, perhaps it is for Nick's sake that she's explaining more of her thinking than one would expect from someone at the daily grind.

At the end of this episode, when she got home, I thought he'd be in there to be honest XD He's been saved from prison by her, given her a gift and is waiting for her at work. Having somehow gotten her home phone number (so her home address shouldn't be too difficult, as he knows her name and employer - or he could just follow her home one day), the next step is for him to pay her a visit - being a burglar he certainly has no qualms about letting himself in.

True. Well yeah it's for Nick and the viewer so that we know what's happening.
If he does let himself in I hope it's one of those moments that makes you jump.

hang on.. I'd just assumed that she was pregnant in the past and had an abortion in the past, and was just thinking about it at the end of the episode? (she has also been drinking quite a few beers in the evenings..)

I'm really liking this show. I don't usually like court dramas but there is something about this one I can't quite put my finger on.

I don't know what to think of it. It seems slightly different in the female character, but otherwise it's a generic law drama. :/

I thought it was him too XD Billy didn't seem curious about who the father was either, so maybe he's slept with Martha too.

Why didn't Billy go after Kate (I only found out her name this episode XD) rather than let her spread the mutiny? Plus, why did Clive direct Kate towards Martha? Possibly out of panic, but Kate's going to want to get Martha on her side now, and we don't know how far she'll go.

I had my doubts about Clive being the father though.

I thought Billy was quite affected by hearing that Clive is the father. When they showed the close up of his face, it was like he was fighting tears and anger.

so Billy set up that whole situation with that man offering Clive another job just so Clive would feel indebted to Billy when Billy 'found out'...

It just looks like Billy wants to control all of them, he seems like this weird manipulative person struggling to maintain some kind of power...

Also, I can't work out whether Clive is a complete knobhead or whether he is actually a nice guy!

I dunno, that was when he felt Clive was going to betray him. Possibly Billy thought all along it was his baby with Martha, hence why he didn't ask despite being quite a regular appearance in her private life. Then again, Martha was sure that Billy didn't know who the father was. Also, Billy didn't seem too fussed over whether she had an abortion or not, just was accommodating.

Hmmm I don't like Billy.

But if Kate goes after Martha, Martha's going to be caught between the group who want rid of Billy, and Billy himself. Whoever she sides with, and even if she tries to stay out of it, that's going to affect her, and is going to be bad for the chambers, and hence Billy himself, so Billy will be cross with Clive.

Billy suspected Clive would think about joining the mutineers, and when Jake (I think that's his name) saw Clive meeting them, he was sure of it. So, he made a fake golden opportunity to tempt Clive to leave their chambers, and now has a legitimate reason to unceremoniously boot Clive out with a "Traitor" placard around his neck. Clive's not indebted to Billy, he's doing as Billy says to stay in his career.

Clive directed Kate towars Martha so that there would be developments to tell Billy about, I think.

I liked Martha and Clive's chemistry but it was kind of spur of the moment... seeing as it was the same guy who was snorting coke in the first episode. :/

Well, I thought it'd be Kate who did something evil if Clive got Martha involved, but it was the idiot evil tech thief from Hustle (dunno his name) that did it in the end.

Though if Martha tells Billy about what's happened, the two of them are bound to work it out. They both know a mutiny's in the works, Clive's told Billy they're going for Martha, Billy will know he had the yellow complaint and what he did with it. Next week's the final episode though
