Re: What's your favourite musical? It's a musical about the Paris opera house, and has one or two 'opera' songs that the characters rehearse for featured in it, which aren't main songs from Phantom Of The Opera itself.(Original post by mother_eve3088)
Phantom Of The Opera!
Although i'm still not sure whether this would be counted an opera or a musical.. -
Re: What's your favourite musical?
I love all the current ones!
Wicked
Les Mis
Phantom
Cats
Mamma Mia
Chicago
Miss Saigon
Little Shop of Horrors
We Will Rock You
Spring Awakening
Shrek (go see it, it's coming to London soon, I saw it in NY)
Then again I love the oldies like
Okalhoma
Carousel
Fiddler On The Roof
I dislike Annie... -
Re: What's your favourite musical?Opera has nothing to do with the style of song or music. RENT is a rock opera as it is all music and songs of a rock nature (no spoken dialogue). Les Miserables is technically an opera as it is music from start to end.(Original post by BeautifullyTragic)

Sorry to be picky... -
Re: What's your favourite musical?I know what you mean, but in the general terms of things it's a musical. I know technically Les Mis is an 'opera' but I would never call it so myself!(Original post by mbiggs1)

Re: What's your favourite musical?I mentioned it in the post before, think we posted at the same time. But Annie is the only musical I've sat in the front row for, and is truly my least favourite musical! Mainly because of the song 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow' ha(Original post by alasicannotswim)
why has no one mentioned Annie yet? not the disney version, the original version... -
Re: What's your favourite musical?Yeah I'm the same about Les Mis.(Original post by BeautifullyTragic)

Re: What's your favourite musical?
Avenue Q - I always laugh and who wouldn't love such classics as ' everyones a little bit racist', 'The internet is for Porn' and 'If you were Gay'
Wicked - I have to say this my ex was in it
(but in all honesty it was an amazing spectacle and the music...what more need be said)

Re: What's your favourite musical?
My favourite: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!!!
(I love anyone who loves this. Seriously half the people I try to speak to about this have no idea what I am talking about..)
Then it has to be...
Wizard of Oz
(I really need to start saving up so I can see the Andrew Lloyd Webber version.. *sighs*)
Oh, and the other day I saw Hairspray! Pure amazingness.
