What qualifies as 'living together' when calculating household income?

I was wondering this because when filling out the student finance application it bases family income on those living together in the household.

My dad lives somewhere else for 5 days a week since he works away from home but usually comes back for the weekend. Does this count as 'living together' and should it go towards the total family income?

Of course it does.
It is his main home, so yes, he is counted as living there. It doesn't matter that he lives away for work.
