Will these A levels get me to uni

Hi all

I want to study Geography at university, my main choices are Belfast Keele staffordshire and Derby.

Just wondering whether A levels in Geography, English combined, History and Business studies will be accepted or are they all too soft?

History and Geography are definitely not soft. English Lit/Lan isn't too soft. Business Studies is soft.

I'd recommend you take Economics instead of Business Studies though - especially for Geography. Economics would definitely help for Geography.

I'm already doing my A levels in these, We don't do economics at our school so business was the closest to it, maybe my other choices may pull me through, English is definateltly going to be dropped.
i think they will be fine depending on what grade u get

They will be fine. You have 2 strong subjects there and English and Business are ok. They will be enough for those choices. Just make sure you get the grades :smile:
Hiya,

You will be fine and Derby will more than likly except you. I am currently at Derby uni doing Business and my A-Levels were in Business Studies, Double English and ICT and I got in. As long as you have enough points from UCAS then Derby will prob accept you. If you want more info then go onto the website? Or book yourself onto an open day, then you will be able to ask questions and speak to the current students/teachers there.
