Are you sure you don't mean Central London Property v High Trees House 1947?

That's promissory estoppel.

LexisNexis and Westlaw have search features.

does anyone know the name of a case of lord denning about proprietary estoppel.
its either in 1972 or 1977 and in it he says proprietary estoppel can apply to money and its not simply restricted to land.
thanks

Vandervell (No. 2)? Sounds like the right case; his lordship applied proprietary estoppel to shares in that case.
