I did! I don't really expect this operation to be successful, nor am I sure I'll be accepting an offer for accommodation if I get one, but not trying would be silly. What residence did you apply for?

I must confess I didn't spend that much time in deciding what was most fit for me, but by and large I knew that I wanted an all-postgraduate (undergrads can be overly "enthusiastic" at times, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's just not what I'm looking for anymore) en-suite thing, so I applied to winkworth house. To be honest, I enjoyed living in an apartment (when I was studying in Rome) much more than living in a student residence (as I am now doing in London), but then again I have no idea how hard will it be to look for accommodation in Bristol: having a safety net will certainly do no harm.

Hey, may I know what was the turnaround time for your application? I've applied for MSc in Comp Sci and I've been eagerly waiting for a reply ( applied on 1st April, Indian too )
Hello!! The University of Bristol says that it will take a maximum of 21 calendar days on their online application site! But believe me, it takes more than double of that!! I applied on Jan 30th and received my offer only in the last week of March (The night India won against Pakistan in World Cup) :P Soooo yea, you can imagine!!

I'm now thinking of not applying at all, and just finding a place to live on my own (maybe through the flat searching event hosted by the university in september). It takes more effort, but all in all I hear it can be around 100 pounds cheaper per month, and in one year that does add up.

    Really not sure yet.

I know, and that's what makes it difficult. Applying for accommodation through the university is a hell of a lot simpler than coming to Bristol a month early and search for a flat (or find it online but still coming there earlier since you need to visit in person before they let you take it). So, dunno...

    It might help, yes.

But yeah, I'm definitely doing that accommodation search thing if I don't apply/get university accommodation.

In related news, I just received some info on my studies from Bristol, along with extensive information about my courses. You know you're no longer in undergrad land when the study plan for one single course is 26 pages long! Luckily for me, all 3 three first semester courses seem awesome.

Hej! I don't know about International relations or Warwick or Durham. What I can tell you, one good thing about Bristol is that the best international fresher community will be there. How about that?

Yep, I'm up for some discussion Audrey. Throw some subject...
