Does Mark Zuckerberg have asperger's syndrome?

Does the Facebook creator suffer from aspergers. I just watched The Social Network, and I know it's obviously just a portrayal of his life and not the real thing, but based on that film it seems like he definitely does. I'm fairly ignorant on aspergers to be fair, but I've heard sufferers can lack empathy, which he definitely seems to, lack social skills, again in the film he appears to be socially awkward. As I say I'm only basing this on the film, I've never seen him interviewed in real life, but it must be loosely based on his real personality. It's either something similar to aspergers or he's just a selfish *******.
Why would we know, who actually randomly searches something as specific as that?

or he could just be all those things and not be autisitc or whatever, being socially awkward, selfish or whatever is just a personality type, too many people jump on the oh i have aspergers bandwagon.

Who cares?
Isn't the whole concept of social networking one that requires a reasonable understanding of human communication and emotion?

Anyway, we could diagnose the man with all sorts of things if we tried -- but I, for one, have got better things to do!

You are in luck my friend, Mark Zuckenburger suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

One of my favorite psychiatrists has written about it, read and tell me what you think.

He might be an aspie, but he's a rich aspie..
Actually you'll find that a lot of innovators or brilliantly clever people were autistic!

social network does not have to be completely accurate. he could, in real life be perfectly normal.

Thanks. Didn't realise Narciassim was even a disorder, thought it was just people being overly arrogant that could be solved with them taking a dose of reality.
Attempting to diagnose someone with a mental illness when you have no experience or expertise of clinical psychiatry and the only evidence you are using for judgement is a fictional representation of him is not only ridiculously insensitive and unethical, but stupid.

One of the interesting things about the film is that it suggests that Zuckerberg could see perfectly how networking happened but had no interest in it himself.

There's a bit of a current dismal trend to go around diagnosing celebrated people with various disorders and syndromes based on what their contemporaries said about them.

some say Isaac Newton had aspergers - google 'famous people with aspergers'. How can we know? he died before anyone knew what aspergers was or looked for it.
Who cares wether he suffers from a disease, he's a clever, rich, self satisfied ****. I hate him so much.

That guy constantly refers to him as 'Zuckerman'. I don't trust a thing he says.
No, he's just a massice cock and a bit of a sociopath, if you believe the films portrayal anyway

According to the screenwriter, Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook because he himself needed a method of communicating and "making friends" that didn't involve any actual human interaction.

I found it weird that people were saying in another thread that they found The Social Network really inspiring. Mark Zuckerberg is rich yes, but (in the film at least) he's not a happy man.

Asperger's is about far more than being socially awkward and unskilled at social interaction. It also has a lot to do with being susceptible to sensory overload, having a different thinking and learning style to the majority of people, being unable to process many instructions at once etc. In addition, some people with Asperger's are capable of socially interacting very well because they've learnt how to, but just don't enjoy it or see any reason.

It's quite irritating for me as an aspie when people go around saying 'oooh, x was clever and a bit weird, MUST BE ASPERGER'S' - AS is about a lot more than just how you socialise.
