    Good idea
Seen them once at Brixton - amazing show. They're probably not my complete favourite band at the moment, but certainly one of them. I found Rosenrot a bit disappointing after the epic Reise Reise personally.

yeh, i've heard that the songs on the new album are more slow-paced than the classics

Rammstein are cool. I got Rosenrot from christmas, its cool, better than Reise Reise IMO (Mutter's still best though). Seen em live, at Manchester Apollo in 2003, they were fantastic.

Ooooh I love this band! I have not seen them yet since there is no hope of them coming over here, but hopefully will see them when I'm in a University in England

Okay, so what are some of your fave Rammstein lyrics?

    Song: Seemann
Lyrics: Wer haelt deine Hand, Wenn es dich nach unten Zieht?
Translation: Who will hold your hand when it pulls you under?

Rammsein really helped for GCSE German.... i got a lot of vocabulary from just listening to songs... anyone else find RAmmstein useful from an educational view?

I scared my teachers though.. my essays filled with 'burn, die, rape, etc....' hehe ah well X_x

Rammstein are quite probably the only reason I passed my German A-level (and advanced extension!) - so many times, I wouldn't know a word but I'd be able to pcture it in one of their songs and figure it out from there.

My finest moment was when we were studying 'Die Physiker' by Durrenmatt (great play, btw) and I was half asleep when the teacher asked if anyone knew the word 'dirne', obviously expecting us not to. So me being me, and damn awkward, and having just listened to Moskau, lifted my head off the desk, announced "WHORE" and then went back to sleep.

    Dort am Klavier
    Lauschte ich ihr
    Und wenn ihr spiel begann
    Hielt ich den Atem an
    Dort am Klavier
    Stand ich bei ihr
    Es hatte den schein
    Sie spielt für mich allein

    There, at the piano
    I listened to her
and if she began to play
    I would hold my breath
    There, at the piano
    I stood beside her
    it seemed
    she played for me alone

It occurs to me that those lyrics might not look like much if you haven't heard the song, but he sings it them in such a way and with such passion so as to make them brilliant. Awesome, awesome choon.

Best album, anyone? I'd say Mutter myself.

(The translation above might need fine-tuning, so if anyone wants to tear me down go for it. The only German I know is what Mr. Rammstein has taught me and it isn't that extensive. The web keeps giving me slightly contradictory results, as is to be expected from translation processes)

    Wow! Rammstein Society

Yes, yes indeed they do rock! :thrasher:

The latest album was a bit of a disappointment though - I prefer their earlier stuff but they are still awesome!

My German isn't great, I think that works a little better though.
