Yes. The great American cuisine. American football. Even though I've never seen a game in my life. Hm. Maybe we can include some non-American topics too.

Wow, that's quite a list! I'm thinking NYU, Vassar, Columbia, and Tufts, but they're #6-9 on my list, so I'll wait a bit and see if at least Bristol make me an offer by mid-Novemberish before I start supplements. At the moment I'm just enjoying telling people I'm completely done with apps and gloating over all the work they have left.

I would go for U Chicago too, if it wasn't 30 min. from home and in a seedy area. Ditto for Northwestern, which is five minutes away and where I already take a class.
Yeah. Bristol looks really good. Do you have a list of preferences?

Yeah, kinda. Cambridge, UCL, KCL, LSE, Bristol, I think. But that depends on a lot of stuff- like getting pooled, etc.

    Genuine question.

Does Hogwarts in anyway affect anyone's motivation to apply to Cambridge here? :ninja:
My dad: You only want to apply to Cambridge because it looks like Hogwarts

(For the record, that's not true lol. Though it doesn't hurt that Cambridge is gorgeous)

I believe that if you live in the EU you're expected to be able to travel there for the interview.
It depends on the country. They're interviewing in Toronto, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Pakistan and Singapore.

    I detest english people :shifty:
Not all of us are English I don't know how much you know about Britain, but if you refer to someone who's Welsh/Scottish/Irish as English, you'll probably make an enemy for life :P

Not that I have anything against the English... :shifty: I just like sheep :sheep:

It is REALLY true though that chances are nearly the same at all colleges. Don't worry too much!

I dunno. I just dont believe that the admissions tutors don't see an application to another college, and feel slightly slighted? They are only human after all. that said, I think probably Hommerton do this the least, as they are the newest college. And their statistics kinda suggest this too.!

Anyway thank you Killyenn for the kind words,,,,, I actually JUST recieved my SAQ... better get started!!

Actually if you look at the statistics, you'll see that the colleges with more applicants per place do pool more people and have more people accepted through the pool than less popular colleges. Admission tutors are actually quite eager to pick people from the pool, because they know that a lot of very good applicants end up there

I just recieved my SAQ as well (at 6 in the morning?). Good luck with it!

Just a quick question here, I'm filling in the section 6.1 of the SAQ, which asks me to state the unit title that I'm studying now. What should I do if the title is too long to be put into the box?

I had trouble with this too but after looking at the SAQ guide I saw on one of the images associated with this section that the unit titles which were too long were shortened with the appropriate use of 'etc'. In your example above I would type 'Investigative and Practical etc'. If 'Practical' cannot fully fit into the box then write 'Investigative and etc'. I presume that the Unit titles work with the Unit code (which would give more detail than the title) and only help identify the modules you took.
    Good luck with your application

Glad to hear that there are people who only just received their SAQ
My application was officially sent (not my fault!!) about 8 hours from the deadline... so I think we both may be in the last bactch of the SAQ'ers!

Thanks mate, "etc" is the best solution at the moment.

    Good luck for you too!

No, I couldn't make it to any open day - quite annoying! Did you manage to go?
