Yeah, does anyone from Birmingham commute from Warwick regularly? I know it's around a 30 minute Journey - How much would it cost for a year to do this, with the bus cost as well.
Cheers and I'll be using a 16-25 Railcard I guess.
Your best bet, is from Birmingham New Street to Coventry station. 20 min train journey on virgin (3 * Per Hour) or a 30-35 mins journey on the London Midland. You should get a network travel west midlands zone 1-5 term pass.
Cost is around £200 per term and will allow all bus, train and metro travel throughout the west midlands so including Birmingham and Coventry (inc warwick uni).
You'll most likely get the train from Birmingham New Street to Canley station. It takes 25 minutes, and runs four times an hour.
(According to the website) It's £6.60 for a return ticket (you can return any time on the same day)
From Canley station it's a 15 minute walk to central campus. For the love of god: DON'T get a train to Coventry station and get the bus to campus! you mad?!
It's not really viable to live in Brum and commute 5 days a week, unless you have a car. Canley Station is more like 20-25 mins walk. I have a couple of mates (I say mates, they are normally losers because they spend so much time travelling and so little time socialising) that do it by car, but no one does it via public transport.
